Hah you should see me when i smoke weed... People tell me i act like im on meth lol. Any kind of stimulant on the other hand (except for actual meth, i would never touch that stuff) makes me super mellow and calm. Even caffeine does this, but it only mellows me out on the outside. My brain definitely speeds up, it just looks like I'm calm lol
That's how my friend is too, he always wants to get up and do all kinds of stuff while high. Weed makes me have that same methy mindset, but not the energy. It's more like a trippy tranquilizer version of meth. Interestingly, caffeine used to stimulate me but now it just makes me sedated. The only times I ever took pure amphetamine I got really spaced out and heavy feeling, very opiate-like. Perhaps notably, opiates do absolutely nothing to me... not once have they been anything stronger than at the level of a nicotine buzz. But meth makes my teeth start chattering like one of those wind-up toys. >w< I think I'm just weird.

hah you are totally weird! But thats okay, im really weird to0 and not just because weed makes me hyper lol
Amphetamines do the same thing to me at certain doses, usually when the dose is to low. A little while after taking it, i feel really tired and lethargic. Although opiates definitely effect me, but they're not something i particularly enjoy that much.

On several occasions in the past i have taken short release dextroamphetamine tablets and lied down for a few minutes until they kicked in, only to fall asleep 10 or 15 minutes later, and i would have the strangest dreams.
They all had one recurring theme: i could not wake up. The effort it took to get out of bed was harder than going into work at 6:30 after pulling an all nighter and passing out at 4 lol
I would dream over and over (all of them false awakenings) that i would finally drag myself out of bed and start walking around the room, but i was so tired that i literally stumbled around the room as if i was drunk, and could not even see straight, my eyes would just roll around and i would eventually collapse back into my bed only to try to wake up again, and have the same thing happen.
It was extremely unpleasant and confusing, and i dreamt of nothing else for almost two hours. Every time i have fallen asleep on amphetamines i have had these dreams. I usually wake up feeling more tired than i did before i went to sleep.

This just shows how horribly pathetic our knowledge of biochemistry is. And why I think it's incredibly ridiculous that people without even a laymen's understanding of how it all works choose to take drugs that are barely even researched yet, let alone well researched ones.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about it. I do it myself. It's just ridiculous haha And it's amazing that the body can bounce back from such "unbalanced" chemical states.

That happened to me from diphenhydramine. >w< I call it the mind labyrinth.... Every time I got out of bed there was a sudden realization that I wasn't actually moving, then I would say "Fuck!" or something along those lines and I'd be placed in a new situation... I don't remember what they were about now, but each one was like an obstacle preventing me from waking up, and every time I'd finally escape back to my bed I'd get up and immediately yell "Fuck!" again. @_@ It lasted all night.... And you're right, when I finally woke up I was exhausted. There was no rest whatsoever.

I take an SNRI (Cymbalta) but I take it in the mornings. Zero effect on my dreams. Maybe if I took at night it may be different... many people report crazy dreams, just not me. Go figure, the one person who desperately wants to explore even non-lucid dreams
