I had another successful experience last night.
Things got a little complicated. I dreamed that I was in my bed at home, lying with my feet up on the pillow and my head at the other end (as I usually do when trying to induce a lucid dream with music), and I dreamed that I was trying to induce lucidity. A bizarre visual appeared before me; it looked like a section of garden set within itself about three times. I took this as a sign that I had entered a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream (take that, Inception crew!). This made me feel calmly excited, so I got out of the bed and headed for my door. I felt the tension of the headphones cable so I unplugged it and went downstairs. Before I entered the front room, I hoped to see someone in there, but alas there was nobody. So I took off my pyjamas, which took quite a long time for some reason, and headed into the back garden. I called out for one of the neighbours, but my voice didn't work again. However, I could still breathe OK, which was a good sign of improvement from similar past experiences of this kind. I went clambering over the fences, even sort of floating over one of them, trying to find the neighbour I had tried to shout for. But I awoke briefly.
I was able to re-enter the same dream situation quickly, and this time saw the scene from a third person perspective. I could see both the neighbour (who looked quite a few years younger) and myself, wandering around the gardens seemingly oblivious of each other. Nothing much else happened before I woke up again.
Cool, huh?
