      lucid Preventers?

So I can only assume that if there are foods and vitamins that aid lucid dreaming, there must then be foods and vitamins that prevent lucid dreaming.

Does anyone know and foods that we should be staying away from?

Sleeping pills, marijuana, alcohol. All inhibit dreaming for the worse (the REM rebound perhaps experienced is NOT better than abstaining altogether, or so I hear).

This kind of stuff makes me laugh, like would you stay away from vitamin C, its important? Because you know, in complete fact, stress increases REM, and most(if not all) of your dreams are in REM, and the more stress the more REM the more Dreams. But people dont run to stress themselves out.

I think that sounded a bit hostile, you can ignore that tone. Its late, but my point is well, stress increases lucidity, but you're better off with less of it anyway.

It is too subjective to tell.. You could benefit, from what others could only blame for not being able to dream.

      Mind the 'facts'..

They're bad, but not impossible. I've had lucid dreams with lots of alcohol in me.

Anything with caffeine, it'll cause you to sleep lighter. You might get lucid, but you might wake up right after.

depresssion leads to more REM and Dreams.

Mania leads to more Slow wave sleep (NREM)

So if your depressed that at least you got an edge!

Stress Decreases Chance of Lucidity by 200%. It also decrease REM and Increase light sleep. Vitamin C is important in lucid dreaming to it helps. Choline is in the vitamin C range.

Interesting! The first I agree with.. The second, keep one awake..
But, surely this is what I speak of, when using myself as example.
