      Dmae!

I think I have found a very effective dreaming supplement - or at least for myself - so I thought I'd make a recommendation for others who have made similar attempts.

I had been using garlic (in pill form) before bed, which seemed to make my dreams strange and in third person, often with somebody narrating (), but still pretty vivid. It is very helpful when I feel like I'll have some difficulty getting to sleep, though.
Using a B-complex and bananas etc. had a subdued effect for me and never was reliable, but such things are good to take anyways.

I work at a natural market and the other day I spoke to our nutritionist. I told her I was looking for something to enhance memory/concentration like ginkgo biloba, but it turns out that ginkgo is really only effective for seniors or for circulation related issues. She told me to get a supplement called DMAE H-3 by Twinlab and gave me some literature.
DMAE is naturally found in some fish oils and is most effective in liquid form (do NOT buy it as a capsule - it's a waste of money). And it's available for about $8!

Ok, so now to its effects. I put some drops in a cup of water right before bed the first night I tried it, and I noticed a huge improvement in my recall (not my best recall EVER, but definitely better than the crappy recall I had for a few days before this). The second night I had my longest LD to date, and it was funny because soon after I became lucid I was thinking, "wooo! dmae is awesome!"
In summary, this has been a very reliable supplement for me. According to my nutritionist, its effects are sustained after a certain point (ask me about the best way to go about with dosages if your interested) and this makes me feel good because I don't want to be dependent on the assistance of a substance for having LDs -- I really just want something to help me get to the next level.

i bought these DMAE pills. --> DMAE 250 mg - 100 Vcaps® - NOW Foods (sorry i'm not trying to advertize anything, but to show what the pill is like)

I don't know how to take these... do i open my mouth or... heh, no... I mean do i take 3 pills as it is the daily dosage just before falling asleep? Or do i take these one pill at a time during day.

Also, does dimethylaminoethanol's effects in my body build up? or is the effect instant (like in aspirin pills or something similar)?
Don't you just hate it when sentences don't end like you expected them to octopus.

I bought some around a month ago. I've taken it everyday since I've gotten it at the recommended 10 drops. It has helped a bit with my dream recall, and the first night, I had a very vivid dream.
