Dream Herb Extract with California Poppy Tincture

About a week ago, I ordered Dream Herb extract as well as California Poppy Tincture.

The latter is suggested to be used with the former. On Sunday, I took my first dose of Dream Herb extract which is about 15 drops. It tasted HORRIBLE. That night I had a lot of vivid dreams. Yesterday, I took a dose before work as well as a dose at night, and my dreams were even more vivid and memorable (though I didn't write them down on waking like I should have). This morning, I took another dose of Dream Herb, and I plan to take a dose of California Poppy Tincture tonight with a dose of dream herb. I think tomorrow, I will make my first large dose pill with a combo of Dream Herb and California Poppy.

I'll try to keep a running journal of how this stuff works on me, but I am having way better results than with Calea pills I got from IAmShaman.

This is very intresting, keep us updated. I wonder if I can get a calea plant like this.

The Dream Herb is made from pure calea extract, so I wouldn't see why not. My first night was a stark change. I will try to take two pills a day of a higher dose before I make any claims though.

Calea is foul. Be thankful you're using an extract and not drinking a tea.

Try not to use too much of the poppy.... I don't know too much about its use as a dream supplement, but it creates its primary effects through benzodiazepine-like action, making it similar to Valium or Xanax. This means that too much (potentially more than just a small helping) will inhibit REM and worsen your quality of sleep, though in small doses it could potentially make things a bit crazier (like alcohol). Calea is far more than capable of making your dreams insane by itself, I still rate it as the most impressive dream enhancer I've used. I would honestly recommend sticking to it a bit longer and getting used to it before throwing too many other things in, it's a pretty magical plant.

I think tonight I will double my Dream Herb dose from 15 drops but put it in a gel pill. I'll report back what that does tomorrow.

Here's the update after 2 pills (each containing about 18 drops).

8/7/2012 - No lucid, but my dreams are ridiculously vivid. I remember having several conversations with people and doing extremely long and complicated tasks. I think if I practice DILD for a few days and continue dosing with two tablets, I will be on tract for a lucid. This morning I took 2 tablets each with about 15 - 18 drops. I will take two more tonight before bed and report back tomorrow.

8/8/2012 - Took two doses in pill form in the morning and two more at night. My dreams were extremely vivid and clear, and I had extreme time dilation before going to sleep. I went to bed at 10 and stayed up for what felt like two hours, but only 30 minutes had passed. This phenomenon was in my dream too.

Going to skip today and see how the clean effects are.

8/9/2012 - No doses, fewer dreams recalled. I will try again tonight without a dose since I was up late and woke up early last night.

I skipped a few days for moving and family. My dreams were pretty good, and I am still have that time dilation issue. I took two pills last night, and the clarity, despite sleeping a short time was great.

Not a problem.

I am noticing one interesting side effect that may be related to the dream herb is that my thoughts seem to be much slower and less frantic. I will keep tabs on this. Tonight, I plan to start journaling again as I ramp up my dose. I'll report how that effects my dreaming.

I got super stressed out since my last post and that hurts dreaming. I'll have to restart this experiment, I think because last night I took two pills and wow, the dreams were scary real.

Thanks for updating.
I have ordered a bottle of the Calea Zacatechichi which is due to arrive in the next two weeks or
so, my problem as far as lucid dreaming is concerned is although i am a regular lucid dreamer my
recall has always been poor i wake up knowing that i did a lot of stuff but can only at best recall
about 10 lines of material of my lucid adventures.

I have tried many lucid aids over the years which help with my recall somewhat, but i am
still looking for something to really push up my recall considerably more so i am hoping
that Calea Zacatechichi will help me with this as i have never tried it but heard so many
positive things about it.

Empty gelatine capsules which you can buy from Ebay for a few pound or so if
this is what you mean.

The capsules help A LOT. I have to take frequent breaks though. When I did it at 4 tablets a day for a few days straight, I felt like my dreaming was really slippery. I had a lucid dream in there, but it was hard to tell what was real while in the dream, etc. I also quit my job, so I can focus all day on it. Tomorrow, I will try to do 4 tablets and nap.

I have a golden rule when it comes to any kind of lucid aid, not only those that stay in your system for a few days like galantamine, and it's that I wait atleast a few days between attempts. Not only does this make the days I do take them more special, you get two-three days to "prepare" mentally and get your hopes up. You really long for that day and know that you'll get lucid on it. Same goes for WBTB.

I'm not sure if the effects diminish if you use it too often, but I'd do it every third day just to be sure. You've got time and taking it too often might have some unwanted effects. If I remember correctly Calea hasn't been thoroughly tested.
