Try pomegranate honey instead of sugar. What don't you like about tea? There are so many different flavors, you can't find one that you like?

Green tea's great, but the problem is, I'm one of those people who just can't sleep after drinking caffine.
I have decaf green tea, but even that seems to keep me awake..

I can certainly speak well of green tea I had already known it was good for LDing, but I didn't know all of the other benefits, so thanks for that. However, I also heard that if you drink it all the time the effects will become weaker. Is this true?

I took a cup once before going to bed. I accidently took that tea bag instead of another one. My recall went from 0 dreams to 4. The only thing is that I also took the tea I had wanted to take after I finished the green tea. The other tea has a bunch of herbs and stuff to make you sleep. I took the green tea again, by itself, a night after or something and I only recalled one dream. However, I don't think I slept so much that night either. Now that I've read this post I'm going to try green tea again. I'll try having more than one cup throughout the day and see if my dreams are more vivid.
      Lolwut.

I just don't like the taste. I've only tasted two or three flavors though, so who knows, there might be one for me

Ok, I'm gonna try with some honey

One thing about green tea is you are not supposed to steep it too long. It gets bitter. Only steep it for a minute or two. Then drink, reuse the teabag with another refill of hot water. The second cup tastes better than the first. Even according to the japanese the second cup is subtler and it is the second cup that is used to judge the quality and flavor of the tea. Also, you aren't supposed to use sweetener, but that is a cultural and traditional taste. I suppose if you don't like the flavor then use sweetener.

What is pomegranate honey? I know what pomegranate is.

Good advice, I only steep for 3-4 minutes or there will be a strange taste, if you can get Clipper green tea it doesn't taste as bad."Even though i have grown to like the taste"

For the most part this is not true.

You can always try Rooibos "Red Tea" its similar and has no caffeine.

(Also on another note milk may reduce the effect of the tea, sugar is not too great either, so for best results you would have to drink it plain.)

I tried using honey today. Turns out I don't like that either

Maybe I can learn to like green tea though. The first time I tasted beer I didn't like it, but now I love it ^^

      this is from drmercola.com:

This amino acid comes from green tea, and not only helps maintain a calm alertness during the day but also a deeper sleep at night. However, green tea doesn't contain enough L-theanine to significantly boost your REM cycles, and might make you wake up to go to the bathroom. Instead, buy pure, active L-theanine (some brands have inactive forms of theanine that block the effectiveness), and take 50 to 200 milligrams at bedtime.

      and from wikipedia:
Able to cross the blood-brain barrier, theanine has psychoactive properties.[5] Theanine has been shown to reduce mental and physical stress[6], and improves cognition and mood in a synergistic manner with caffeine.[7]

...its primary effect seems to increase the overall level of the brain inhibitory transmitter GABA. Theanine also increases brain dopamine levels and has micromolar affinities for AMPA, Kainate and NMDA receptors.

dopamine is supposed to be very good for dreaming. i guess those who don't like the caffiene can just take the pills or decaf green tea. i will try this!

Yep, This is pretty much what i found out. I don't like the pills though because they sometimes add things and also they don't have the other benefits.
