Just happened to me in my last LD, I did RCed my hand 3 times and there were 5 fingers just in place !
Nothing gone wrong in the dream too which made me walk alone and say to my self : no am not dreaming .
I think we should use more advanced RC methods .

A lot of people fail at that reality check. The best one to do is hold your nose and see if you can still breath. That has a 100% efect.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

The trick with pinching your nose and trying to breathe is indeed the best and easiest. Looking at your hands may be unreliable, though it can be used to stabilize the dream.
