Before I thought I had lucids and had woken up as soon as I realized I was dreaming. Well, I was wrong.

I woke up around 4AM this morning. I was almost fully awake. I thought, "Damn, I might as well just get up". Now, usually I get out of bed around 5:40. So I almost got out of bed but I stopped myself. If I have until 5:40, then I still have a chance to lucid dream, right?

So, I get comfy and chant "Lucid...I will do a reality check and become lucid..." to myself as I drifted asleep. First, a dream continued from before I had woken up.

I was in my bed again. I thought I had slept for the remaining time and it was now time to get up. I stepped out of bed and opened my bedroom door. Looking outside I noticed it was insanely dark. My lightswitch is right beside my door, so I pressed on it.

Nothing happened.

Confused, I tried a few more times. I thought "...Don't they not work in dreams? Either the bulb has blown or...". I pinched my nose. My nose felt REALLY different. I could breathe through my nose. I kept breathing through. I was simply amazed.

Obviously, this darkness would not do. How could I enjoy this without being able to see anything? Closing my eyes and putting my arms out, I screamed "Light!" and surely enough, the room lit up. I stepped outside of my room expecting the light from behind me to kind of help me find my way like it would in reality, but as soon as I left my room the light faded.

I walked down the hall and stopped in front of the bathroom door. Looking at the walls it was like these shapes and mass of colors were coming at me, but I couldn't see them very clear because hey-- it was dark.

So I tried do some teleportation. I put my arms to my side again, and closed my eyes, and said where I wanted to go aloud. Opening my eyes I saw a bright flash of the area but I was still in the hallway of my house. I tried two more times, then woke up. When I woke up, I rose in my bed and was just so insanely happy.

I had thought I had lucid dreams before, but very short ones. But now I know what one really feels like for the first time. I cannot express how happy I am.

It was my first day of following this program by dakotahnok. I honestly didn't expect any results the first day, especially since I found the topic in the middle of the day during school when we were in the computer lap. So basically, I didn't do a full day of the program, yet it still helped me.

I'm extremely happy, and I'm looking forward to future lucid dreams where I'll have much more control than I did this morning.
