      First try, first success?

      Hey guys!

This is my first post, so I want to introduce myself.
I am from Austria (not Australia ) so sorry, if my English is not quite perfect.
I found this Forum two days ago and i read a lot of Tutorials and Experiances, and the Topic Lucid Dreaming was so interesing, I tried it for myself the same night.
I want to share my experiances with you and I hope you can tell my, if I really had my first lucid dream.

So I have heard a long time ago about lucid dreaming, but I thought this is only possible if you are a special person or something, so I didn't inform me about it.
But last Sunday I came to this Community and I saw, that it is possibly to learn for everybody!

So i layed down at night with pleasant anticipation and told myself "I will have a lucid dream" and "I will remember my dreams".
It took quite a time till I fell asleep but then i had my first dream.
This one wasn't lucid, beacause I didn't do a reality check, but I can remeber quite a lot from this dream (but I don't think it is important here to mention).

After that dream I woke up and noticed some facts about the dream. I had a hard time to fall asleep again, but then it happened:

I was standing in my room and thought "this must be a dream".
I tried to jump, but the gravity took me down on the ground. Again. And again.
The third time I started to levitate and I knew, that this was a kind of RC.
I tried the Superman-pose and started to fly
I was very excited, so I started to look at my hands (I heard this is a method to stabilise dreams, but I can't remeber what my hands where looking), but I lost control about my flying and crashed on my carpet. It didn't hurt.
I tried it again and I was flying through my ceiling and further through a dark emptiness.
I came out in a land, which "reminded" me of Narnia, but it is strange, because I have never seen the movie Narnia nor read the book.
There was a house which has projections on it and changed it's appearance from a large house to thousand miniature-houses and so on.
I described it as "The all-seeing eye in form of a house", don't ask me why
At last part of the dream I was standing in my room and my girlfriend was lying in my bed (the night I dreamed, I was lying alone in my bed) and told me to "come to bed".
There were a cat on my side of the bed which looked liked the cat of a friend.

Then I woke up and wrote down some notes.
I can't remember any furhter dream in this night, but I was sleeping not so good.
I don't know if i slept or just layed there..

Do you think it is possible that this was a lucid dream, and that in the night after I heared something about it?
I wanted to try it again this night, but my girlfriend was over and there weren't the right equirements.

I didn't know if this belongs to exp. or the newbie section, so if it's wrong, please move it!
And sorry for the long first post!

      Greeting
      orbit

Dude, you did just have a Lucid Dream Congrats
The second time you woke up is called False Awakening, but the good part is that you tried to fly as a Reality Check, I don't do that most of the time .
The technique you did use is called MILD and am sure you did read about it too .
