      lucid experiences analysis

i have realized that the most experiences people haveing here
like the ones from waking nomad
are all very based on stuff like killing zombies and beeing superior

so now i started wondering why that so is
it seems in dreams you get in contact with all theese deep emotions which control your everyday life but are too deep to be realized by the usualy human mind
i realized that many want to feel beeing superior, beeing super man and flying around or something
this wish cannot be fullfilled in the waking day life because we are all obviously from the same race and never really superior then someone else
so the standard dreamer wants to fullfill this desire and dip into the dream worlds?

i think its not good to fullfill this desire and fall into this dream world / rejecting the normal world, because we are animals which group up in teams to achieve great things which you cant do on ur own
its same with video games, many like to go into the world of the games where they can also fullfill specific desires which they shouldnt have in the first place

srsly get aware of your desires and adapt! the world of humans need you!! dont go hide in dreams!

      regards

It's not like we are rejecting the real world. In fact lucid dreaming actually enhances the real world experience. After a long, hard day I know theres always a chance of getting lucid at night. And when I wake up the morning after a lucid I feel good all day. But personally I don't let it become an obsession, just another form of entertainment, like video games are.

      Wait what?

I play video games to relax, to let off steam by competing with other people just like sports, but not physically intensive. It's not about shooting heads off. I don't see it like that. It's just about who's the fastest one to do what is required. If you actually played video games, you would realize this.

What I want to do in dreams is not something that would make me superior. It's a social sanctuary for me. I dislike people. Dreams grant me the power to retreat back inside to my own mind and think on things and just be left in peace for every night. It's also an interesting way of discovering things you have buried inside your mind and wanted to ignore, but seeing them in dreams make you realize how important you think they really are. I've had a couple of life changing dreams, at least emotionally.

I do neither because I need to do something I can't do IRL. I do both because it's a way of letting my feelings run off. Before both, I was a complete nervous wreck inside. Now I'm a little more relaxed, tho not by much.

where does this steam come from? what if you get the root for it? then u wouldnt have to let go off any steam and you could use your time doeing something worhtwhile?

do you have the ability to find the cause of the steam by haveing lucid dreams maybe? by analyseing the dreams?

Everybody needs to let off steam once in a while. Every single one of us.

Me being more introverted than extroverted is not a "problem" nor is it a symptom of a problem. It's who I am and that's that. There's no further root of it than that.

oh even more intresting, do you feel attacked by my questions?

you do not want to feel at fault because then you would have to go through the efforts of change? or maybe you generally want to show that you are a capable human beeing who is not makeing mistakes?

I do not feel attacked by your questions any more than my own thoughts.

Okay, it is my fault that I made the life choices I did. However, I made those choices because I felt that it was the correct thing to do. I am not a social person who goes out to parties with random people and haves fun. That's not me. If it were me, I'd be doing that right now, being friday night. It'd be easy to do so.

I am capable of making mistakes of course, but that doesn't mean that I'm always wrong.

I fail to see how this relates to "LD = Deny reality" thing you had going on in the OP. That's just a huge generalization. Sure. LDs can be used to escape reality on SOME level, but not completely. You're still stuck with reality. Getting to do things you can't do IRL? I find it extremely boring to blow stuff up or to fly. Nah. I don't want that sort of stuff. I use LDs for a deeper meaning. And that usage of LDs doesn't make me feel any superior to anyone else. These were the two points you addressed there.

Anyhow, I'm off to sleep now, so don't expect me to reply anytime soon.

i am very often flying in my dreams because i feel like i am in the cartoon dragon ball z, where i fight other people there and shoot balls of energy, i feel like a super hero kinda ... its a nice feeling and its got a lot of action, and i always seem to win ^^

in my waking life i play many games because i like to be able to remind myself what i am worth, like feeling as though i can compare myself to other human beings, "I am better than you, i can do this" at certain level.

Its either this or doing something for the pure joy of it, flying for the feeling of freedom, dancing for the feeling of elegance, its all feelings right? emotions, what have you studied about emotions? have you read about emotions yet? i said already that asking where mass comes from is same as questioning why emotions have so much power over the human system. but no, instead you choose to come here and tease with other systems about why they do things because of the emotions which exist deep in them. you know you are not strong enough to work out the answer so you instead go try to make the other users here more curious, and dig up information from others to test theories, good job. but let me tell u that, it does not help one single bit trying to open minds up of these people, its just giving them pain, u don't know them so why do u care about them, they are not aware of so many things which u are aware of they not possibly prepared to be like you, a scientist. Some people are born with a desire to be a scientist and detach themselves from their ego, Others simply are lost causes to be quite honest, but don't tell that to their face.. I recommend you focus back to logical thinking at a deep level , ask questions, read articles, but don't give up on teh level you were at. Its like you have learnt stuff, and now you go and abuse that knowledge you learnt on all the people who are below you. You have along way to go before you have a right to do this here, and you could be putting your skills to so much better use than dribbling on dreamviews forum, a place where the uncertain becomes certain

Well I'm confused now... Did you just tell us that it's wrong to try to achieve lucid dreams?
