      The Frigum

Been a while, but here I am, having made countless new experiences. Here is one from last night:

After inducing a WILD, I found myself outside in the streets, looking for something that might catch my interest. I approached a nearby house and tried to get inside from the garden at the back, but somehow couldn't. The scene was unstable and I had to struggle to sustain my state. After succeeding, I went on for a while and came to a flight of stairs leading down into a basement vault. The stability of the area was perfect, which I took as an invitation to descend.

The corridors had white-painted, unplastered walls and were widely ramified. Not far into the maze, I encountered a woman, but she ran away scaredly as I neared, further into the basement complex. Hastily, I followed, but stopped, when I saw a massive blue creature emerging from the opposite site of the corridor I was in, rushing along the way the woman went. It looked pretty much like generic media depictions of "orcs" or "ogres": Wild, muscular, huge and dangerous. Did I look like one of those to her too? Was that the reason she fled?

I continued chasing the woman and now the orc as well. At the next junction, another one... no, two more of those monsters engaged in the hunt. What was going on here? I was so determined to find out, that I nearly abandoned the required emotional distance to preserve my lucidity, but eventually lost track somewhere deep within the labyrinth and ended up in a secluded room full of junk.

The stuff lying around in the well-lit 25 square meter chamber didn't attract my attention for more than a short glance, but it looked like someone might dwell here. I didn't have to wait long before the presumable occupants showed up: Two men of different stature, one small and thin, the other big and heavy. They sat down in front of me. The big one kept in the background, so obviously the small one was to be my interlocutor. He involved me in quite a confusing conversation, that I couldn't really follow, much less recall. Somewhere far away I heard the distant sound of a woman screaming. Seems they finally caught her.

Starting to lose awareness, I pulled myself together and told the small man to shut up. I demanded to "see beyond". I wanted to realize, what the situation was really about. What did those two men represent? Instantly, their appearance changed. The big man's head turned into a stylized form of a tiny black skull, not larger than an eyeball, making him not only look even more plump, but also pretty dumb. The small man underwent a very different transformation: His skin turned silvery-blue, his features deepened, his ears became long and pointed and his mouth presented a row of menacingly sharp teeth. The cunningness reflected in his expression seemed no less sharp. The term "Kobold" came to my mind. It wasn't the first time I met one of his kind.

When asked what he was, he replied "Frigum". (I looked it up later and interestingly, it resembles the accusative form of the latin word "frigus", which means "coldness", but that might not mean much. After all, Frigum is a proper name and I don't even know the exact spelling.) On further inquiry, he told me that there are different factions of beings that distinguish generally and often locally. "So whenever I interact with someone in a dream, it's really one of you?", I assumed. "Yes.", he simply answered. During our conversation, he touched my right forearm with his left hand and something extruded from his fingertips, piercing through my flesh. I could uncomfortably feel it crawl along, making it's way upwards, but was able to repel it several times with some mental effort. I didn't dare to directly defend myself against this potential attack, because I didn't want to disrupt the conversation. To my astonishment, he said that we (humankind?) are suffering from the "sickness of the skin". It took some time to explore his remark and to understand, what he actually meant, but I concluded that he was referring to what we regard as physical existence. I told him, that I do not consider it a sickness, but a school, a state of gathering experience. "You have come very far.", he muttered before I awoke.

Very interesting. Perhaps these creatures you are referring to are similar to what Don Juan described as "inorganic beings" in one of Castaneda's books, or at least thats what I immediately thought of when you said the creature was referring to "physical existence."

The same thought occurred to me. Inorganic beings scared the crap outa me and made me not want to try to get lucid anymore for a while.

This is really insightful...I've had dreams before where DC's tell me the truth about our reality and the state of existence, what lies beyond our world, death, etc. I've also had very spiritual dreams. It's scary, but nevertheless exciting and interesting. I sometimes even enjoy my nightmares after waking up because i learn something from the experience. Just makes you wonder...do you think some of what we dream is picking up on actual "real" truth of what lies beyond our limited 5 physical senses or do you think these visions are simply fragments of the human imagination and hold no truth?

I kind of want to believe that these dreams promote some reality to them in a sense. What if all that is left when we die is our ideas and imaginations whereas inorganic ideas and spirits are all that actually exist in the purest form?

Define "real". Define "truth". It's not that simple.

exactly....the way we dream when we are not lucid makes me think that our waking life is also a projection of a higher reality. When we dream (not lucid) we just accept everything as real and we are clueless that we're dreaming. Waking life is merely the way our mind perceives what is around us using 5 senses. There's so much more to it, I know it.

Do you think the inorganic beings in dreams are trying to enlighten us or if our minds are simply making up stories? I'm just curious what your views are because the way you dream seems to actually be getting somewhere with the state of our "reality".

I can only say that I don't know and see no way to learn beyond doubt. Reality is what you accept to be real and truth is what you believe to be true, and it changes. There may be more, there may not be, but that's merely speculation. Now and then, I have experiences (I use various ways) that seem very convincing, but the truths of today are the falsities of tomorrow. If you draw the consequences, you don't settle for "truths", old and new, easily or at all. Maybe that's the lesson. Lucid dreaming and other states of consciousness have been frequently applied to relativize the nature of the "physical world". I know nothing about it. All I have is what I perceive, including thoughts, but I can't say what it actually is. To relate it to something that may exist beyond or even to assume there is another source is purely speculative, even if it may be the predominant view of the current western society.

I've had very similar experiences to everything you said.

Are you familiar with Holographic theory?

In response to..."Are you familiar with Holographic theory?" :

No I am not but would love to learn about any new ideas. I completely agree with what Planewalker has said after reading his statement. Sizably, we as humans know little to be sure about anything. We are simply materialized out of a world whose means are physical although that cannot speak for us understanding much more than what we have evolved to perceive. Perhaps dreaming and any other methods that alter the conscious are mere methods just to show us that other states of consciousness exist and to show us that what we think we "know" to be considered solidly true could always be perceived differently from another view point. In my opinion, dreaming and these other methods keep us humble as a conscious community and leaves us guessing. If we were made to understand everything around us and to distinguish between the purest truth and the the purest falsities, then we would be God and this is far from so. Conclusively, we are lucky to inherit the world around us and must enjoy what we are given as a conscious. This leaves us only faith.

your subconscious is telling you, that you hate others who wear social masks 24/7, you had all that rigidity that`s being forced on you and it`s time for you to live the life you really want, full with excitement
      dream goals:
[ ] - sail with the Black Perl to Hoghwarths and show my magic wand to Hermione aaarrrrrrrrr
[ ] - turn into Chuck Norris, kick Justin Bieber into a large pit, while shouting "shut the f*ck uuuuuuuuuupppp"
[ ] - meet the Sasquatch and ask him to pick my stocks, then crash the economy
[ ] - find my virginity to avoid the piranhas on the escalator and get probed by aliens

Planewalker, I just have to say I have a great deal of respect for you and your current beliefs; I am on a mission to find certain information and I makes me happy that there are people like you that think in such an interesting way. I would say we have our similarities but of course our differences and it is both I enjoy and respect; I wish you happiness and success in your mission for information as well.

To everyone else: Isn't it grand that we have such wondrous worlds to explore, both the "physical" and the "dream" worlds, I believe exploring these worlds is the first step to unlocking newer forms of happiness, excitement, discovery, and information.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

The answers are out there, some of them are simply past our human understanding.
Ten fingers counting we have each nine planets around the sun repeat
Eight ball the last if you triumphant be
Seven days in a monkey's dream
Six senses, five around a sense of self
Four seasons turn on, turn off
I can see three corners from this corner
Two's a perfect number, but one, well....

      For now.

Some could say it was impossible for people 1800 years ago to understand an airplane past "Magic," "Witchcraft," or "The Devil," it is just a matter of time before "humans" can comprehend and have some form of understand or opinion on things such as reality or what everything is made of. I think our ability to understand reality is hindered by other peoples ability to have a decent life. Places like Africa, Russia, China, Korea, South America, and hell America, in fact America might be one of the biggest hindrances on other people having decent lives, sorry the governments of these places to be much more precise(and the super-rich). Once people start caring about why people die and, in the process, stop killing each other, which will in turn force us to compromise and make a better life for everyone, we will be able to start to, instead of worrying about war, poverty, oppression, depression, disease, corruption, and death, worry about education, creation, art, freedom, happiness, empathy, and peace. Once that happens exploring and trying to understand "our" and other realities would be the next step and would be much easier when more people have access to it; that is not to say stop trying though.

Sorry for the rant, I blame it on the reefer . It is as much a matter of growing and experiencing as it is a matter of time.
