Communicating with other LDers helping with reality checks?

So lately, I have told several people that I LD. I have noticed that it is no secret action, and several people I know do it. These people include my brother and 2 of my friends.

Anyway though, here is the point i'm trying to get around to making. Talking to them about LDing alot has, in several cases, aided in achieving lucidity. Because I think about the conversations I have had with them, and I see them in my mind doing reality checks, they become DCs, and help with figuring out that you're dreaming.

It is definitely NOT a method to become lucid very consistently, but hey, it worked for me once or twice

Hey, yeah definitely. I find that when I talk about lucid dreaming more, I have them more. That is why these forums are so great!

That's actually a good aid. Problem is with the 10 people I've talked about this, 1 of them finds it amazing, 1 finds it interesting, and the other 8 people say "cut the crap" or "yeah right...."

Yeah, that sounds familiar. :/
I actually don't know anyone personally who lucid dreams or wants to talk about dreams for that matter.
Fortunately I know someone over the internet I can chat with.
And then of course, there's DV which is absolutely fantastic.

I often read random DJ entries here on DV before going to bed, and try to visualize these dreams and how I would have acted in them.
