      My first lucid dream

I had been trying to achieve lucidity for ages now, about 6 months. I've been doing all the usual stuff like dream journalling and reality checks, but I had my FIRST LUCID DREAM EVER about two days ago, and it happened during a nap too!

I was being driven around by this strange half human man, who was incredibly good at driving, doing 140 around a corner on snow.. we had a car crash and I ended up at school. I was pushed over by someone and while I was standing up I realised I was lucid. This was mainly because of how strange everything was. So I counted my fingers and had to laugh because I didn't actually believe the "finger counting" reality check method even worked, but to my surprise I had 6 fingers on my left hand, the 6th coming out of my pinky. When I stood up I knew the other individual was going to punch me so I blocked it and FELT their HAND I literally FELT IT, the knuckles and everything. At this moment things started to get hazy so I tried the techniques to make the dream stronger but to no avail. It was a great experience and I can't wait for my next one

      Hi there my friend,

Congrats on your very first LD . Be sure to read the official Dream Stabilization Tutorial to know more on how you can prolong your dream and make out the most of it. The main idea here is to be relaxed and calm inside a dream. Even at the point of dream stabilization, you must remain calm. Also, if the force of waking up is truly inevitable, I suggest you do a DEILD. To DEILD is to chain up your dreams. What you need to do at the very moment you woke up from a dream/sleep, is to don't move. If done correctly, you'll be able to experience Sp and enter a dream again. Hope this provides more info and good luck in your next attempt

      Congrats man,
I got my first LD after about two weeks after trying to do WILDs in the afternoons, but it was a DILD. I completely forgot to RC though. I was in my kitchen and something just seemed off (I still don't know how I knew though). I looked at a chair and half jokingly said to myself "If this is a dream, that chair will begin to hover". I figured if it was a dream it might lift up an inch or so... The thing shot off at 100km/h and went right through the roof. I was so exited that I woke up.

I totally know that feeling. It's like you're first starting to see results from all the time you've invested into practicing. Keep at it and it only gets better.

I guess I'm not alone, I've been practicing for two weeks now since I found out dreams can be controlled. The first week I experienced another first time LD (i say another first time because the first time I had a LD, I didn't even know what a LD was) I woke up in mexico at my grandmothers house and that seemed odd already so I popped the question with excitement, "am I dreaming?" I got more excited and baam I woke up I tried to do WILD but no bueno I was wide awake lol daamn can't wait till it happens again this time I will try not to be as excited. :-)
