I always enter lucidity the same way now - but can cause problems

I have entered lucidity the same way for my last 6 lucid dreams -

WBTB As soon as I hit SP I open my eyes and head towards my bedroom window, open it, then proceed to dive out of it...sometimes I fly, sometimes I belly flop onto the pavement and proceed with a LD. However, this morning I had a funny experience - All was going well - I was in SP I opened my eyes - and struggled towards the window....I opened the window and the cold took my breath away..I started to question whether I was dreaming, I could feel the cold night air in my lungs and on my bare chest - I looked outside into my garden but still couldn't determine whether I was dreaming or not - so I decided to not take my usual dive out the window, instead I took a more cautious approach, I carefully lowered my self out my window then onto my drainpipe - I wa freezing cold and shivering....I was thinking 'wtf would I say if im not dreaming and someone sees me'...after 2 minutes of nervously shimmering down the drainpipe I reached the floor looked around then BAM woke up....

SO, this morning I had a 2 minute lucid dream about shuffling down a drain pipe in my underpants.

Anyone else enter their LD the same way each time?

      1) Re-live the D-day landings like in the opening scene in 'Saving Private Ryan'. Arrive by landing boat, storm the beach, kill me some Nazis.
      2) A prolonged flying experience through beautiful landscape/scenery
      3) Have a 'nice' time with Chery Cole and Nicole Schwerzinger

Pretty much the same as you, only I become lucid first and then dive out the window - see I have a deep trust in myself that I wouldn't allow myself to do it if I wasn't dreaming. So whenever I see my window and I'm not sure whether it's reality or a dream, I jump out.
Of course, later on in life if I become slightly desillusioned or mentally unstable this may lead to my death lol, but I don't worry about that now

Yeah I also tend to become lucid in the same way, it's normal, I'm sure you just had an unlucky experience.

Same way for me, except I pass through the glass which tells me I'm dreaming, otherwise I'd be too afraid I was sleep walking or something!

I started laughing uncontrollably here.. lol

Maybe the increased vividness was because you didn't actually lucid dream, but astral projected. Astral projection or an OBE from what I understand is basically detaching your 'energy' body from your physical body and ending up on the astral plane, which is usually done by entering SP and then rolling out, or 'climbing' out of your body...perception is different, apparently people see their body as translucent and it feels different from a lucid dream. I'd have to experience it for myself to fully know the fine distinction between the two BUT!
This sounds like a great technique to WILD, i can hit SP easily but I usually try to imagine a dream scene and then have it unfold, normally very unsuccessful, but this, I have a feeling it will work and work with ease, thanks for making things simple for me!
