So, I'm kind of an on-again off-again lucid dreamer. I get into it for a few weeks without success, take a break for a couple of months, then try again, but I usually am not able to put that much effort into it because I'm so busy with college. Anyway, I had a good one last night that gave me motivation. Without going into too many details, I basically really focused on lucid dreaming before I went to sleep, browsed Dreamviews, read up on dreaming, etc. and did a Wake Back to Bed, which was very successful! I got up and went to the bathroom, and when I went back to sleep I became lucid quickly, almost as if the atmosphere between dreaming and reality was weak. I even did a finger through palm reality check, which failed. But I think I pretty much knew something was up when the clock said 2 AM and it was light outside. So I knew and tested out my powers. I climbed a brick wall, cut down a tree branch telekinetically, destroyed a shed, rolled a giant tire, and made a new door appear on the side of a brick house. The only problem was when I approached the door I became afraid and confused, because when I opened it it was really dark inside and led down into the ground. I thought to myself "What if I'm sleepwalking? What if this door in front of me is real in waking life and I get trapped down there?", then I woke up. All in all, I'm really surprised at how good it was. It was very vivid and I got to test out my control for a while. I just wish it was longer. |
