What happened?

I have only had one LD before. I was dreaming last night and was at a ski hill. I forget what happened inbetween but eventually I was in this prairie type field with a group of friends sleeping in sleeping bags under the starts. I didn't have one and was beside this guy who is constantly in my dreams as a DC. Not always interacting with him but he i see him often.

I was hugging him and I realized I was dreaming. I tried to do somthing more (heh.. embarasssing lol) but he got angry and hit me, then I woke up. I new I was dreaming and had the intent of what i wanted to happen happening.

Why couldent I control this guy in this dream.

You don't always have control in a lucid dream, especially when this is just your second LD. No worries, it will come with experience. If this guy is constantly in your dreams, he may be more than just a DC and it would be smart to be nice to him. Next time try asking him whom he represents. Happy dreams

I notice that significant people in my dreams are often based on real people, at least in some form. Could it be someone you know, even if you only met them many years past?

You guys are too nice. I'd end up just beating the crap out of a DC that pissed me off. Or worse

But at least if he's recurring in your dreams, like gab said, you could work out something to talk about with him. I found that confronting ornery DCs usually works out favorably. And in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with getting a bit rough with them if necessary. It's YOUR dream, and YOUR playground. Fight and WIN!
