First Lucid Dream after a week of trying!

So last night, I had my first lucid dream in a while. I did have my actual first one a few months ago... but it was more out of luck than anything and this one was a result of me practicing. It's not very interesting, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

I was in the swimming pool of my high school and we were swimming for gym class. My gym teacher is an old guy that NEVER smiles or shows any sign of a sense of humor, however in my dream he kept giving me creepy smiles and cracking jokes.. the whole time I felt pretty awkward and uncomfortable. After we were all done swimming, we went inside a classroom within the swimming pool room (there actually isn't a classroom in the swimming pool room but i didn't question it) and I began looking for a pair of swimming trunks in a lost and found box for some reason. While I was causally searching the box I glanced up to look at an analog clock on the wall because I felt like the day had been going slow and it showed 11:30. I thought... hmmm what the hell.. i thought I had gym 6th period? How come I'm in here right now? However, after arguing with myself in my head about my schedule I figure I must just not be thinking clearly. Then, I noticed a digital clock next to the analog clock. It read "18:92". At first could this be a dream? At first I thought there was NO way this was a dream, but than I began to think... how did I even get here? I had no idea lol. I decided I had to do a reality check, and to my surprise I counted 7 fingers on my right hand. I was so excited that things began to quickly fade so I rubbed my hands together and that seemed to stop all of the fading, however I was so caught up in what I should go do that I completely forgot I needed to stabilize my dream. So instead of stabilizing things, i ran out of the room and began flying around the room. But after a very quick 10 seconds things slowly began to fade and I woke up.

Congratulations to your lucid! Sounds like you have been doing some awareness training and it's paying off - the "how did I get here" part. Also good job on RC and stabilizing - rubbing your hands together. No worries, next time you'll be less excited and hopefully do some more stabilizing and your dream will be longer. Happy dreams

WAT? How can you say that? True, it wakes you up prematurelly sometimes, but aren't we lucid dreaming for the excitement?
