      (Almost) First lucid dream

Well, I've been trying for two weeks now just to remember my dreams, and after a while trying to have a LD. Yesterday, I had a feeling and decided to try to have a LD that night.
I went to sleep saying to myself: "I'm going to dream, and when I get into a dream, I will perform an RC". Well, I fell asleep, and after a few dreams I donīt remember, I had a dream about floods in the bathroom, and near the end I thought: "This is so surrealistic". Then I looked at my hands and... There were two extra fingers on each hand. I realized it was a dream, and tried to stick my finger into the other hand, and it worked. I looked up, and felt a surge of emotion going from the botton of my stomach to my chest, and saw I was right in front of a mirror. I tried to smile, but my face muscles felt like if they were asleep, and I just made a grin. I looked back to my hands, and tried to move them, but I could only move very badly my "normal" fingers, the others were just estatic. Then, I suddenly woke up naturally, not falling in darkness or anything, just I was on the dream and the second after I was in my bed, without being able to do anything. Also, inside the dream, I couldn't feel anything of my body, I could move (very badly, as I said before) but I couldn't feel anything, and my vision was a little blurry/out of place, like in normal dreams.
Well, I don't think this ranks as an LD, but what do you think about this?

Whaaaat doooo you meeeeeean? Haha, it was clear as a bell. It most certainly was a lucid. Do you wanna know how I know?

      1. You realized it was a dream
      2. You counted your fingers and had more than normal amount of them
      3. You put your thumb through palm
      AND
      4. The incredible emotions surging from bottom of your stomach (remember this feeling and recall it each time, when you ask yourself "am I dreaming" and you do your RCs in waking life. It will help you get more lucids. Because this was a lucid, what you had.

Lack of ability to move, lack of control, lack of vividnes, those are not indicators of a lucid dream, but level of your avareness. Try to do some daytime awareness to help you with quality of your dreams and also to help you reach lucidity easier.

      self-awareness (sageous)

      dream yoga (sivason)

If you'd like, I can fix your title (take out the "almost" part). Happy dreams

Well, I didnīt think it ranked as an LD because of its short duration and lack of vividness, but if you say so, I'll take it as my first (fail) LD
Also, I'll check out those posts and see if they help, thank you.

If you think about this as a fail (which by the way was not a fail), you may have hard time getting more lucids. You telling your mind that lucid is a fail, so it will not know what do you want. It gave you a lucid and you don't recognize it as a lucid. I'm puzzled.

Many people have short lucids just like yours, it should get better with more practice.
