So another mini milestone today...

I have always had vivid dreams when I did recall them but I was always so "in-the-moment". Last night I had excellent recall on a masterpiece; I was Indiana Jones rescuing an orphan banjo playing girl who lost her parents to terrorists and I had to sneak through an ongoing catholic/muslim holy war into a museum where knife wielding ninja doctors doing autopsies on killer zombies tried to get me and the little girl. (it was a bit rough but the good guys won! )
So anyway, I would normally play out the dream and wake up exhausted without a clue but last night, the dream took "breaks" where me & the DC's joked about what a fun movie we were making! This is a major step for me because even though I was not lucid, I have never stepped back and chilled out between scenes where the dream. Never has the dream appeared "fake". It has always been real from start to finish. And though I went back into the seriousness of the dream, I kept stepping back, albeit unconsciously, but still.
I by no means have the experience to say for sure, but I feel like it's due in part to my ADA practice noted in LaBerge's book and added to here on the site by hitting daily "targets". I forget who it was (sorry) but I printed out a randomized list of about a hundred targets and pick 3 per day. My ability to keep them in mind and recognize them throughout the day has increased dramatically over the last few weeks.
Added to the DJ and mantras and a bit of meditation, I feel like I've attained a new level which is freaking awesome since I was getting so frustrated the first couple months.
Sometimes it feels like it's hard to follow or connect with someone who has been doing this for a while. I sometimes add to my frustration by getting slightly intimidated by the seemingly relative ease with which some of the experts on this site achieve lucidity (Not in a bad way so please don't read that the wrong way. Mostly all of you have extremely excellent insight. I'm just implying that hearing from someone just above me tends to relate better and make more sense.). So if any beginners or frustrated people taking longer than it seems others are and are trolling this thread, and looking for inspiration due to not making fast progress, PM me or reply and I'll go over my routine. It is very methodical but has less rigidness and doesn't follow step by step exact instructions taking away time or messing with real life activities. Like I said, I'm no expert, but beginners learning together have exponential potential towards a quality end product.
Live the other third of your life!!!
