      Lucid Dream recurrance-help!

Been a lucid dreamer since I was young, for the first time I had one that repeated two days in a row. I dream lucid almost every night but This one actually scared the crap out of me! Please help me interpert or explain why now. Here's what happened: night one: I was in my house ( I frequently have dreams take place in my Own house ) and walked down the stairs. Everything was the same but I didn't have couches. When I turned into mmy living room my dad or so I thought was leaning up against the wall. When I spoke it turned around and unfortunately wasn't my dad. It was some sort of evil demonic mean spirited being. I felt threatened and was so scared that I forced myself to wake up. I woke up with mmy heart racing and a bad gut ache... the feeling you get when your fight or flight response kicks in. It took me an hour to fall asleep again. The next night I had the same dream, same scene etc. Only I was screaming at this thing that I wasn't afraid anymore and that I wanted it to stick it where the sun don't shine. This time it was flying around my living room. Eventually it was gone I woke up immediately but didn't feel threatened and scared rather calm. What the heck is this lol. Keep in mind I have nightmares a lot... ssurrounding negative evil spirits and thinking about them even scares me. Usually I wake up no problem but to wake up that scared was odd. I've had sleep paralysis once that I can remember and I know this wasn't it as I was fully mobile!! Thoughts and ideas welcome.

Well if you're lucid and you're prepared, nightmares should not be a problem. You say if you wake yourself up you're still scared. There are other tactics for dealing with nightmares.

Next time you see the demon or whatever it is that is scaring you, first of all you need to keep in mind that it is a dream and that you can't be harmed. Then you really have two options. You can either ask the nightmare what it represents or try fighting it. (Being lucid, you should have superpowers and be able to take just about anyone/thing in a fight.)

But generally your better off asking what the nightmare represents. The last time I asked a nightmare what they symbolized, a horrible monster turned into a kitten. Not so scary anymore, huh?

And of course the best thing to do might be to use something similar to the MILD technique. Make a mantra and repeat it to yourself. Repeat something to yourself reminding you that you won't have nightmares anymore. You will probably start having fewer nightmares, or they may stop altogether.

As for an interpretation or meaning of why you're having nightmares, I can't say as well as some. If there is some person or event in your life that has negative influence, or some negative emotion on your mind, this can lead to nightmares. I generally don't have very many problems at home or in school, yet still have horrible nightmares from time to time. I guess it just happens with some people.

Thanks for the ideas... I have been trying to conquer the nightmares for a while. I'm actually happy that I was able to identify I wasn't afraid anymore in the second one. I will try to ask why when I have another nightmare and see the results. A random fact about night one vs. Night two... on the second night I slept with my black obsidian stone again thanks for your ideas!!

Yeah, I agree that once you realize it is a dream, you shouldnt fear as there should be no harm.
