Has anyone else spoken to their subconscious in a dream?

I frequently have lucid dreams, except that i don't care to change anything. Whenever i have one, there is always a man in there who i think is my subconscious. He wears a cloak and hood, and the shadow covers his eyes. He has a smooth brown leather jacket, white shirt, jeans, and brown belt and shoes. He doesn't always come talk to me, but he's always there watching. Whenever i get to talk to him, i tell him personal stuff that i wouldn't even tell my parents, and it's completely comfortable to me. He gives me advice and tells me all sorts of stuff about me that i didn't even know about. Like freckles i've never seen before and how many hairs are on my head. He never calls me by name and i don't know his name. During dreams where i get to talk to him, we are either walking slowly or sitting down. These dreams are usually nothing but talking to him. Dreams like this always end with him saying "It's x:xx AM now. That's all for today because it's time to wake up." The time he says is always accurate to the minute, even when i wake up in the middle of the night.
Fun fact: I have 112,564 hairs on the top of my head.

I have spoken to my subconscious it's not always the same for, but most of the time it's a version of me as a child. I have learned vast amounts of information on the reasons I am the way I am. And he is always right

This is something I would like to explore in the near future. I hope more people respond and post their experiences.

One other thing i forgot to mention. When i have a dream where i talk to him, there are no people other than me and him. When he is in the background, there are lots of people. So unless i talk to him, he's just a background character.

I had a lucid dream last night. As soon as I realized I was lucid, I started flying like in most of my lucids. I remembered that I had read something about talking to my subconscious and decided to make an attempt.

I flew to the top of the most highest point in the sky I could. Than I spoke "what do you want from me" and nothing. So I yelled it again, LOUD, and it echoed with powerful energy. Than a voice sounding like the deepest god voice with a robotic tone echoed back, "Baptist Church".

I seen the city beneath me change from a city to the wilderness and a empty feild with one building and one tree next to its front right side. I flew down and it looked like a newly built modern church with a healthy tree. Than the voice spoke again but I couldn't make out what it said. So I said "please again cause I can't understand" and it did but still I didn't understand.

Than I looked back at the church to enter but it had changed. It looked old, condemned an unstable. Almost spooky an scary. It had brown dusty roots coming out of every window, door, and crack. The tree next to it was un healthy with no leaves and the trunk looked twisted around spooky like.

I flew closer an between the tree branches and away from it. I woke like wow I wish I understood what the last voice was trying to say. If anyone could help me understand would be greatful. I have some ideas though.

Baptist Church, huh? Why is that so funny to me? I choked on my ice cream sandwich.

Actually I wouldn't put much stock in something an anonymous robotic voice shouted in a dream. No telling who or what that could have been!

I love talking to my subsconscious in my dreams. They take various forms.
I had conversations with 2 alien childs about the meaning of life, with a priest about God and Jesus, with a middle age man about conspiracy theories, with my reflection in a mirror about who we are, with a man of my age about the future of my life and the the world, with myself as God...
I'm always looking forward to have more of this conversations. You should try to have more of these too. They're very interesting.

I haven't spoken to my subconcious in any Lucid dreams. But sometimes my subconscious speaks to me in non-lucids. One example was when i was feeling down about how much my "friends" actually cared about me. I had a dream where i was gonig to the toilet, and there was a patch of sand right in front of the toilet. In the sand was written "Don't worry we love you, have fun *heart*". I knew that this was my subconscious((s)(due to the "we")), it really comforted me and made me feel a lot better in my waking life.

Another time, i was feeling down again, this time i was thinking that if the chance came for me to be happy; would i let myself be happy? This time i dreamt that i was back in highschool, and i walked up to two girls who i know, and one of them said to me "What do you want to do?". It wasn't a question exactly, I got the vibe she was telling me *your free to be happy doing what you want*, and i kissed her.

strangely enough both of these dreams went on to become wet dreams. They said have fun...lol

My dream guide (who I consider the representation of my subconscious) has only said one mildly profound thing "Some dreams are meant to be non-lucid".

I've never done it before. Most of the time when I get a lucid dream, I forget to do something meaningful and end up doing something really stupid (last night I prioritized catching a catfish with my bare hands over stabilizing the dream, so I lost lucidity). Rarely ever does a DG show up, either, and they always seem to change each time. Their only consistency is that they show up at the end of an in-dream "lucid dreaming class", in which I re-learn about lucid dreaming with a low level of lucidity (just barely aware that it's a dream) and become lucid after the class ends, at which I am given the opportunity to talk to the teacher who is more intelligent than most DCs.

The only notable time i've possibly interacted with my subconscious was after one of those dreams. After the class, the room transformed into my living room and everybody except for me and the teacher (who sat down on my sofa) had disappeared. I began to leave through my front door when I suddenly remembered a particularly nasty monster from a creepypasta. I knew that he would be outside if I left the house (in fact I saw his face in some tree branches) so I consulted the teacher for help. I asked what I should do because I knew I would be attacked if I went outside, so he led me outside. I presumed he would fight off the monster, but he just wandered around in my yard with the monster never making an appearance. After a while of following him I said "this is getting dull" and I left. Though at first I thought that his help was rather useless, after following him for a while I just forgot about the monster; if the teacher represented a piece of my subconscious, it helped me evade a potential nightmare by forgetting about the monster.

In the future, though, i'll try searching for a character similar (in behavior) to the one you saw. That man is, quite frankly, awesome.

I attempted this with the last lucid dream I had. I asked it what my greatest fear was.
The dream world became... unsettling after that. I was in a hurry to wake up anyway, so I woke up before too much happened.
I'd like to try it again, though. There are all sorts of things that I'd love to talk with my subconscious about.

I also had a lucid dream last night and I tried to find my subconscious AKA dream guide. I did the WILD technique (experiencing sleep paralysis first to trigger LD) where my dream started in my shop where I slept last night. I started rubbing my hands first to make it more vivid and head out to find my dream guide, while trying to find it, i opened a door hoping that my dream guide will be in there. It turned out that I saw a cat, I thought that the can can be my dream guide so I started talking to it but I can't since I was thinking that time that cats can't talk.. (I realized now that it's not my dream guide since it should do more something than that and it's limited to my thinking). After that I woke up.

However, that my lucid dream didn't end on that. When I went back to sleep again, I started lucid dreaming again and I was back in my shop. What I did is go out and tried to see fireworks in the sky, then I woke up again.. Going back to sleep again, I'm back in my shop again lucid dreaming where I saw a girl and tried to reconfigure her making her more sexy, making me wake up again! It's like the shop is my save point when I woke up and went back to sleep. I can't remember anything anymore after that and went back to regular dreaming I suppose.

It was weird, but I'm having a problem staying lucid sometimes, I wonder what's wrong...

What i find very strange is that when many meet their subconscious (or someone they identify as it), they don't get the help they expected. This happened to me. I met a girl in my dreams, i wasn't very lucid so i don't remember her face very well, but the "aura" of her personality is still clear to me. She was at my age, but it felt like she was extremely wise. As i saw her i quickly made an approach, and to my surprise she wasn't very interested in talking. After a while she tried to walk away and i chased after her. Right before she was about to walk out a door i shouted; "Are you me?!". She said "yes" with a little smirk, and followed me up to a place where we watched TV. In the lucid dream i had before this one i couldn't use any powers and got mayor headaches (not when i woke up, but inside the dream), so i asked her about it. She only responded with "I don't understand what you mean". I asked her again, but got the same answer. As my anger rose, i woke up.

Let's say this wasn't my subconscious as she was already present when the dream started (i'm not saying this means that she isn't, but it's something to consider), even so why does a dream character lead me astray rather then helping me? This is a very interesting area which i look forward to exploring.

I decided to do this in a lucid dream this morning. I called out demanding to speak to my subconscious self and very soon he (I) appeared standing in front of me. He appeared exactly in my image and I started to ask him/myself if there is something we should be doing differently in our life or is there something we should do in our life right now. I waited for him to give me a reply and I was absolutely floored and amazed by the knowledge he/I imparted. The enlightening information I got was "Get an ice cream cone." I had no idea what to expect but that was definitely not it lol. I don't know what to take away from it except possibly that there is no reason to overcomplicate life. Relax a little, get yourself an ice cream cone hahaha. Mysteries of life solved via lucid dreaming.

This is exactly what i mean. If the subconscious is us, how can we not understand it? We should not have to interpret the answers!

@Obviously. I guess technically any character you meet in a dream is yourself. I typically find in a lucid dream when i question characters they try to lead me astray. Rarely will they flat out tell me that I'm dreaming, usually they tell me that I'm not dreaming and I have to do a nose plug reality check to reassure myself. When I ask them why would they (me) lie to me or try to trick me they usually only reply with a smirk. From the experiences I've had it seems to me that the subconscious has a defense mechanism to protect from intrusion by the conscious mind. My thought on why that might be is just because of the fact that they are 2 different minds that act in different ways. The subconscious seems to be far more abstract and nothing really has to "make sense" like it does to our conscious mind. It's able to make connections and interpret in completely illogical ways, probably far more so than the conscious mind can.

The way i see it is that the DC's are personalities the subconscious has made up. So when talking to a DC we do not talk directly to it. Other than this i agree to your idea on seperate minds, defence mechanism etc.

Edit: I can't reply with quote or an "at" until tomorrow (7 days).
