This does sound like a lucid dream, technically. You should definitely keep up your will to have a lucid dream because they will get longer, and more rewarding. This is a step in the right direction, congratulations. |

Hi there to all reading, ive just had a dream last night which has got me in a bit of a pickle...again. But it involves me dreaming about lucid dreaming however this time i was standing in a shop looking a picture frames on a stand and i decided its time to do a reality check (not sure why i decided to do one but i did) and as i did it my hands looked normal, appart from when i went to count my fingers as there were 6 on each hand due to having an extra pinky on the side of each thumb which then instantly i said i must be dreaming, this has to be a dream. after that moment i tried to take control but i must have slipped or something im not sure but i wasnt able to change anything and the dream faded into nothing.. When i woke up i remember that moment of looking at my 6 fingered hands so vividly however even though i said to myself it must be a dream i wasnt lucid :L what happened? was this another dream about lucid dreaming because it felt "different" to say the least, much like when i realised i had to be dreaming that i was fighting to take control, to put it into terms that are maybe easier to understand its like having a numb arm and trying to control it. Was this a bad lucid or even a spark of lucidity ? And if so how can i ensure i dont lose grip like this again? |

I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

Thanks for replying, its great to hear that ive had my first lucid dream, although be it that it was so short and i didnt really have any control but hey its a sign of i can do it, and it didnt take too long either (5 weeks) to get results ! However in order for me to use stabilization techniques first i have to actually see dont i ? Seeing as a lucid dream should be where at the point in time where i realise im dreaming the dream should come into vision right ? like waking up id be waking up in my dreams and then id have some control so i can stabilize it ? because when i had that "lucid dream" at the heat of the moment i dont remember seeing anything really... only my hands then that was it :L |

Sounds to me like it was a lucid dream. |

Yea that was definitely a lucid dream My first one was quite similar. As soon as I realised that I was dreaming the dream just faded away. In my second lucid dream I rubbed my hands and tried to focus which really helped me a lot. Oh and most importantly: I stayed calm. I guess that's the most important step in keeping your dream lucid. |

Saying there is no alien life in the universe is like dipping a cup in the ocean and saying there are no whales.
Definitely seems like a lucid dream, technically. |
