Two Dream Story's In 1 Session

Hi everyone, I'm new and Iv'e just registered here. So apologies if there is already a similar thread on the forum about this topic.

Is it actually possible to switch between 2 "Dream" story lines in one actually dream.

      This is my experience.

Basically I was having a normal "non-lucid" dream to begin with, just walking down a street near my house with my mother on my way to a football match.
All of a sudden, the next second I was at my work. However my workplace environment was different (made-up/ New). Where as my work colleagues were identical to those in real life.
Throughout this Dream I frequently shifted between the 2 story lines, starting at the point of time in which I had previously shifted from that dream to the next.
Now I have the realisation I'm "lucid dreaming" , I leave my workplace to explore the outside world and look around to find I'm surrounded by miles of sea and ocean on top of a hill. A few moments later my manager physically drags me back into the work building to do my job and then I wake up.

It was truly awesome, and the whole dream "felt so real".

Has anyone else had a similar experience like this before, I'd be very interested to get some feedback!. Thanks

Hey, welcome to dreamviews and congrats on lucid dream!
Yes, it's possible, everything is possible in dream! I've had some somewhat similar experiences, not that much shifting though but in some dreams i went to sleep and then becoming lucid in following storyline but then later 'waking up' into previous one and also non-lucid dreams with story going on in a few places.

      Hey,

Yeah it was just such a surreal dream/experience, shifting from one "Dream" story line to another one.

Reminded me of the TV series "Lost" whereby the characters frequently shifted from a "Parallel Universe" and then back to "The Island"

I've had a few similar experiences, but I couldn't help but think of one in particular: I started off in a non-lucid where I was in science class. We were doing an experiment on lucid dreaming, so our teacher had all of us go to sleep in class and do various things (I forget what; I didn't do any of them, lol, I just flew around and did what I'd normally do in an LD) and then report our findings when we woke up. So the lights went off in class, we all went to sleep, and I did some typical LD stuff... then around an hour later, we all woke up (back into the non-lucid) and told our teacher what happened in our dreams, and the school day continued. I didn't go lucid again after that point.
It just goes to show that anything's possible in a dream!
