      First Lucid Dream

Hey there, last night I had my first lucid dream after weeks of researching the topic. I wasn't trying to have one it and from what im about to tell you, you can notice that it was very situational. Okay so it started out with me and my family in our backyard when all of a sudden my mother falls asleep. I tell the rest of my family that we can actually get into her dream, but no one believes me. So I kind of just close my eyes next to her and manage to bring all of my family into her dream. Now at this moment I know that I am in a Lucid Dream BUT only because in my dream I literally went into a dream.. So yeah at this moment my memories of lucid dreaming come to me and i realize that i am in a lucid dream. I tried telling everyone but they wouldn't believe me so I slammed my fists into the air and I started flying. Now I was thinking not to get too excited and it worked for me because i kept on flying straight up. Right before i reached space I counted my fingers until i reached 3 and snapped to get an astronaut suit so i wouldnt sufficate (i didnt want to take any chances of this turning into a nightmare). So i was in space but i couldn't control the surroundings, only my actions. The planets were not ones in our solar system they looked exotic and each had multiple views. The angle at which I was flying (more of like soaring) over them was very elogant. I guess with zero gravity it made flying a little more flexible because i was always spinning around looking at all the planets. And then thats where my dream stopped. Im afraid that this would be the only time that i will ever be able to lucid dream because the only reason that i knew that i was dreaming is because i literraly said in my dream "oh hey we can go into her dream" and carried out the action non-lucidly.

Whoa, you flew into space in your first lucid dream!? I'm so envious! haha

After that you'll definitely be able to have lucid dreams more frequently, as you will be more familiar with the sensation of being in a dream. The more you do it the easier it'll be, so don't worry.

Hey welcome to DV and congrats on your first lucid dream!

Really cool that you realized this was a dream after reading about lucid dreaming. Some people can get lds naturally, while others use various techniques to help them increase chances for lds. I'm sure that if you practice inductions techniques, you will get many great dreams like this one.

Here's a link with an overview of these:
