DC's from happy to furious, because of a question

Hi, I had a really strange and actually scary experience tonight and I can't understand why this happend.

My dreams began outside a McDonalds with my friend, we went in and strangly at this McDonalds you picked what you wanted from shelves, ate it and then payed for it. After we were done I saw two big packets of firework rockets hanging on the wall so I just stole one and went out to try them and when I came out 6 old friends stood there and waited for me too try them, for me it was nothing strange at all that they just appeared, and because I wasn't lucid yet things like people just showing up is just normal for me.

But anyway, so I put one big rocket in a standing tube and lit it, ran back and looked. To a big disappointment it didn't work as it should and just cracked a few times, at that moment it just snaped in my head and I was lucid.
I usually never do reality checks because a just know when I dreams

Then one of my friends said, "No problem I can get a new one" so he ran back to McDonalds to get the other packet.
At that moment when I just got lucid I had that idea to ask my friends about dreams and other stuff, as many other people tries to ask their DC's.
I got this idea because I have read this whole week about asking your dream characters much question and get many good answer from them. But that didn't happen this time...

So when he was at the door I asked the rest of my friend "Do you know this is a dream?" And then the scary thing about this dream began.

My head was turned at my other friends when I asked them and I could just see how terrible angry they got in their faces, and then I fast turned my head back to my last friend who was on his way to get those fireworks, he suddenly stood infront of me with an anger you just can't see in real life. I turned away my face fast because I got really scared and then all of my friends stood around me, just as angry as the first one. I can't even describe the hatred in their eyes, only when you have experienced it yourself in a dream you will know, and I guess many here at this forum can understand.

I can't remeber everything they yelled at me but I can remeber one yelling like "Never ask that question!" and "Don't even talk about it!" and it really frighten me alot. Suddenly I was laying down on the grass and they stood in a circle over me and it looked like they all wanted to kill me... then I woke up, I was sweating and scared even then.

Now on the morning, everything feels good but I can't understand why they got so extremly mad because of my question? It was certainly not the answer I thought I would get.

Anyone knows why this happened and what can it mean?

It sounds like you had a low level of lucidity. You were aware that you were dreaming and asked a question. But then you got caught up in the dream events again. You no longer realized that that you were dreaming because you reacted to your dream characters as if they were real, and the situation (their anger) was real.

This is a pretty common event. I have had dreams where I became lucid and then later lost lucidity and was caught up in the dream events. A good technique to prevent this is to keep telling yourself that you are dreaming and you are in compete control of your dream (saying it out loud works better than saying it in your mind).
      Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

This sounds interesting, tygar only talked about you getting caught up, but why they got angry themselves...hm.

I have always had this theory that DC's were jealous of the dreamer, free control.

It could also simply be you just having bad thoughts or being angry that day.

Tygar now when you say it, I think you right. Didn't thought of that, had to much to think about when they got so furious.
Hm interesting idea, actually my day was alright, kinda normal. Only thing I can think about was that my day was to short But it seems like my day didn't have something to do with it.
Many dreams I can get really scared of even at the morning and think about it the whole day, but this time even if it was scary in the dream and when I woke up, it wasn't so bad even cause they got so extremly furious. Very interesting dream thou

Smiliar thing happend to me few days ago

I' was lucid in dream and for some reason i told DC that i'm dreaming
But he answered kinda calm to it
He simply said no your not
      And then i said yes
Then he said once more no
Then i've tried to prove it to him
I've showed him how can i spawn McDonald Food Package in my hands out of nowhere
He pretended there was nothing in my hands and that i didn't spawned anything
Then i've lost most of lucidity due to doubt
I was still doing things like low gravity and flitring with girls so i guess i was like 1% - 3% lucid

      It was quite weird
      I'm back! Again? Uhhh..

Personally, I blame inception for this.

Doesn't happen to me though! Most get sad or happy when I tell them.

I love that movie. I had a LD the night after I saw it for the first time.

Its the same for me in my lucids, whenever I have told a DC that I'm dreaming I get mixed reaction ranging from them attacking me to sarcasm..

Really strange... But it reminds me of inception now when u brought that movie up, they ain't so friendly exactly there either, any thought about why also the director of the movie makes the DC's in the movie like our DC's?

      This was basically the script of my first true LD prior to knowing what LDn was all about. It went like this;
I woke up beside my wife in bed unaware that this was a false awakening. I felt strange and things didnt look right. I ask my wife if i was awake and she said "yes of course you are awake, you are talking to me now". I replied that i didnt think i was awake and was dreaming. So I tried to convince her it was a dream by standing up and levitating ( I was always able to levitate and fly in non lucid dreams). I said that look at this, I couldnt do this if i were awake. She accepted it as reality and was unimpressed. Then I looked into the mirror and to my horror, my head was upside down on my shoulders with a horrible disfigured appearance. I told her to look . Again, she was unimpressed. I then awoke for real and my wife was still asleep. The next morning knowing this was not normal, i googled the hell out of "being aware that that you are dreaming" ( didnt even know what it was called ). Well, that was a little over a year ago and after researching and practicing, I started having LDs about once every few weeks to now having them 2-3 nights a week with a majority of them multiple LDs and FAs.

My DCs are typically pleasant, unless I trying to annoy them. The women are all open to sexual contact. One DC dis try to stop me from flying. So I squeezed his neck until his head popped off. No blood, his body seemed to be made from clay.

DCs used to make fun of me when I tried to fly. didn't help that I stuggled with it for a while.

I think a lot of DC interaction in LDs has to do with your subconscious impression of the person (assuming they're someone IRL).

For example. The first LD I ever remember having was when I was in middle school. There was a girl who had bullied me all year and I woke in the dream, realized it was a dream and I could 'do anything', and grabbed the bully and raped her while her mom stood next to me and yelled at me (sick I know, but making a point here...)

Anyway. Later I've seen that 'DC' (someone from IRL) in other dreams, and they have always been terrified of me (no wonder lol!), and usually run away. Once I dreamt that I bumped into them on the street and felt terribly guilty, started crying in the dream and trying to apologize to them as if the other dream had been real, and the DC drew a pipe and started clobbering me with it.

So long story short: done anything to piss off your friends lately lol?
