      Frustrated but determined

Last night was another of those "so close yet so far" dreams. The only thing I remember was looking at a digi clock. It was normal initially and, I dont know why, but I looked away and back again and saw the time was 25:88... obviously impossible but didnt clock it (excuse the pun). The last I remember from this dream is me dropping to the floor of some rocks at Ilfracombe desperately trying to feel them. ... its like I was dreaming about a lucid dream and trying to stabilise it. All the signs are there, I just need to realise...

Very frustrating as ive had a few like this. Its like my conscious wants me to lucid dream but my subconscious says noooo. Cant wait for that eureka

      What are your thoughts?

Celebrate these nearly-lucid moments. Do not be frustrated by them, you want to associate only positive, happy thoughts about dreaming. These sorts of dreams are a good sign that you're close to a LD.

Exactly. Increased dream recall, vividness and obvious dream signs are all a sign that your overall dream awareness is increasing and you're getting closer to full lucidity.

Or, think of it this way: a near-miss is still much closer then a wide swing!

Just a few more steps to go

Imagine yourself becoming lucid during these dreams. Then before you go to sleep, think to yourself that you're prepared so you've got this.

Many times a dream will present itself as you describe. You just have to be ready when it happens.
