I'd say i get at least a good vivid dream once a week. So far I've noticed two types of dreams.

      1. an average dream. i walk around the dream and events change and such. But i don't think it's a dream.

      2. i get a more vivid and lucid type of dream. these dreams so far have only lasted about 30 seconds.

in Type one dreams, Sometimes i stop to observe my surroundings without thinking. as if i am searching for something. If i spot something out of place ( in one dream i noticed a piece of ham was supporting a large concrete structure) i begin to automatically observe it in a lucid fashion. Taking quick glances etc. however the instant i figure out it's a dream. It turns into a type 2 dream and i get almost yanked right out of the dream. i usually just wake up.

Type 2 dreams are when i am usually lucid for a few seconds. sometimes i am in them just before i am completely asleep or occur near the end of a normal dream. in one dream while i was trying to sleep, i was both aware of sleeping in my bed and also standing in front of my bathroom mirror. I observed that the clothing i was wearing was the shirt i was wearing earlier. I examined it with such vivid detail it was astonishing. but mostly the type 2 dreams just consist of brief instances where i observe details. In another dream i was in a hallway looking at pictures. one particular picture kept changing shape every time i looked at it. and sometimes i can find my hands in my dreams.

another thing i should add: sometimes just before sleep or in a dream i hear a bizzarre muffled voice trying to tell me things. but i can't hear it.

Having one lucid dream per week is a pretty good average! Maybe try to work on maintaining your lucidity. Some people look at their hands or lean against a wall to calm down and gather their senses. Start trying different things and see what works best for you. Sounds like you're on the right tract - keep up the good work and keep us posted.
