That's pretty good for a first try! Don't give up and good luck. And it's like Clarity said, if it works for you, do it and ignore everyone else that says you shouldn't.

And yeah, the falling asleep thing can be a problem for me too [though I've only tried to WILD two or three times], I tend to lose focus when images and sounds start to pop in, it's a common thing to happen [fall alseep while trying that is] so like I said before, don't give up and good luck!
Thanks! I'm going to lay off on the WILDs for a few days, and focus on DILDs. In fact, I had a DILD last night, though I only had control for maybe 10 seconds before I forgot I was dreaming.

That's pretty good, even if it's a short DILD, it'll build up with time, nad I find with short lucids that I actually have more dream control than with longer lucids [maybe it's because I can't remember my lucid tasks?]

I'm going to try to have longer ones though. I just had another one after a 3 hour nap, but I barely remember it. I think I was only semi lucid in it but I'm not sure.

Naps are good, they help make for a better dream recall and/or higher chance of being lucid [I think, I know I heard something about naps helping with sleep cycles somewhere...]

I've heard that before, too. It actually helped me remember two extra dreams, which gave me a total of 4 dreams remembered for today!!!
