      Where is my body sleeping?

I was lucid dreaming last night and I had just finished flying around my college campus with one of my friends (who "knew" I was dreaming), and now we were sitting in his car talking. I explained that I didn't remember where my body was sleeping and that now I was curious... I told him I might be in my apartment, or at my parent's house, or I might be napping on the couch, or sleeping over with a friend. Then I laughed and said, "Who knows, I might even be sleeping in this car!" which was something I had done before.

My friend suggested that I find out, so I did! I woke up for about three seconds, (noticing that I was at my parent's house) and then went right back to sleep, reported my discovery, and resumed the dream!

has anyone else ever had a dream where they did that?

      Looking Foolish

I often have that kind of moment. Where is my body? Lately (last 5 years) I actually know where it is and details like when I will have to get up, day of week, so on.. The funny part is I started lucid dreaming 23 years ago while in high school. I was a bad kid and often fell asleep on my desk. So if a lucid dream became too sexy or wild, I would worry "where is my body? Could I be in class and end up dry humping my desk??!!" I would hate that! I have sometimes had extensions of the dream where I do open my eyes determine where I am sleeping and go back to dreaming, only I am dead wrong,,, Just dreaming that I know where I am.

I suppose it could have been a false awakening, although I almost never get those...now that I am awake and analyze the awakening, everything seemed appropriate about the room, it was the right time of day, all noises and make sense, etc...all previous false awakenings that I've noticed I can spot something wrong when I really do wake up (wrong location, people who shouldn't be there, bizarre sheets or something like that)
