      Ghost in the mirror

Yesterday I had a WILD. Not the first.

At one point, I looked at myself in a mirror, and saw my reflexion, as well as the reflexion of two people that were with me, and a third one, whom I could only see in the mirror.

He looked friendly. I was not scared, although I thought at that point it may have been a ghost, or else… maybe… an unconscious character that found its way in my lucid dream, character that I could only see in the mirror.

Or maybe I wished for some ghost to be there, and so he was.

Anyone else ever experience something like this ? Any second opinion ?

      Lightbulb Try this

You should try going through the mirror. I have done this and you will end up in new lands and you can maybe meet those people who you saw in the mirror.

It happens. Mirrors, along with electronics, have a tendency to malfunction in dreams. Try to use it to your advantage. Once I had a Harry Potter mirror in my dream: a mirror that showed things that I wanted to find. Once the mirror malfunctioned (showing me an item I did not have on my side of the mirror) I used conscious logic to reason that the object should now be on the other side, too (it worked!).

The other side of the mirror

Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Nevertheless, I'm glad you told me. I didn't think of it when it happened. I'm used to walking through objects, walls, windows, doors, but I haven't yet tried walking through a mirror.

Should I still conjure up what I ought to find on the other side, or let the dream decide for me ? (although this may cause the LD to end and become a normal dream).

I would walk through the mirror first to see what is there. If you don't see who you are looking for then you can say, "I want to meet the being from the mirror." or something and see what happens.

There was a task last month in which we had to pull someone out of the mirror, I did it by removing the mirror, but keeping the image. Try reaching into the mirror and pulling them out. Or else telling yourself that the mirror isn't really reflecting. Break the mirror and have the characters stay behind it.

      Inside the mirror

Thank you all for your replies.

I followed goldentheponygirl's suggestion in a recent LD, but the mirror turned out to be a normal mirror, and not a gate to another world. Thus I passed through the mirror, as I would have through a window, or a door, or a wall. I understand my mind made it an object rather than a gate. I ought to try it again soon.
