Thread: Why can't I fly?

If anyone can tell me, I would really like advice on how to fly in my dreams?

I've always been able to control my dreams (Lucid dreaming) and can do anything else other than fly.

For example : I was on the top of a high building, with two of my friends standing beside me. I'd been lucid for a while up to that point and knew it would be easier and quicker to just fly to the ground instead of taking the stairs.
The only problem is when I jump off, I fall, not fly.

It's happened a few times to me now, and it's starting to wind me up.
Surely I should be able to do anything?
If for example I can blow buildings away with a simple thought, why can't I fly?

Any help? All views welcome.

Well in the few lucid dreams I've had there's been no problem flying at all. I was able to do in from my very first lucid dream. I don't know if you've ever tried this, but in the dream, have you ever thought to yourself before flying that it's going to be as easy as anything? That you are able to do whatever you want in your own world. Normally it is quite important that you tell yourself things like this to make it all a bit easier

Yes I've tried telling myself that.
I don't understand, I can do everything else exactly how I want it, but the one thing that nearly all can do, I can't.

You need a more positive outlook. Don't tell yourself you can't fly. Just think that you haven't flown yet, but you will next time.

Whenever I want to fly I grow myself big white angel wings and just jump.

well i cant fly in my dreams but some of my DCs can. I just made like a Semi-flight thing by just jumping miles into the air allowing me to leap cities and such. if u ask me i think its more fun :p
