I've had about 3 lucid dreams in my life, the one that sticks out the most started from sleep paralysis which I've been experiencing since i was about 18.

I was having SP and was fighting to move, i then managed to drag my body out of bed (dreaming) and got out of my room and looked back into my room to see myself lying there, i then ran down stairs and remember thinking "wow i am actually dreaming" and didn't wake up... as i got to the bottom on my stairs i opened the porch door and walked into the porch, i then decided to try and jump through my front door which I did.

I was then standing outside and it was daylight even though i knew it couldn't have been, anywayz as i turned around and looked at the bush in my front garden and suddenly everything became much more sharper and vivid, each leaf on the bush was clear and the surroundings then followed... once everything became really sharp i decided to try and fly so i closed my eyes and i was kind of hovering over my road, i looked down the road and seen a figure riding a bike towards me so i decided to try and make contact, as i was hovering down i lost consiousness and faded back into a dream... i probably woke up about 3 mins later and was loving the experience.

My first was also disappointingly short: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...54&postcount=2

my first one was so short before i woke up. i was at a reoccurring place in my dreams, a strange mall, and i recognized it. I got lucid and looked around, i was so shocked i finally did it. i walked around looking everywhere, then i tried flying, which was a major fail, aha. I tried, and i didn't go anywhere. So i tried jumping, but all i could do was glide a few feet off the ground. I got too excited though and woke up after about, 5 minutes.

My first LD was pretty weird, the darkness came but I stared at my hand (what the forums said) and looked at the detail and stuff, and soon it came back into focus, but it was pretty out of focus. So I swam underwater (that's where I was) for a bit, talked to my dad, and (time skip, I guess I un-lucidified) was standing on an invisible platform above the city. Then the blackness came and I was like nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. My second lucid was vivid and amazing though.

Lol, my second and third had sex in them, not vaginal though, since I would rather lose my virginity irl (which, admittedly, is kind of a worthless sentiment, but I shall stick by it.)

Also the second dream had other stuff.

The third dream happened like this:

FA, RC, look out window, HOT GIRL, Fly down, order a BJ, BJ. Wake up.

I had my first last night I was stood at the back of my room and randomly did a nose pinch test. It worked and i realised i was dreaming. I then took a few steps forward and jumped (trying to fly) i hovered for a second then slowly fell to the floor. I got a bit too excited and woke up...

My very first lucid dream was way back when I was a kid like seven or eight years old.

I found myself outside of my house, it was a nice summer day, nice and bright out. Somehow I realized that I was dreaming. I noticed a group of girls in my backyard. I said to myself that I am dreaming and I should try to grab one of the girls butts. I thought it would be okay and I wouldn’t get in trouble. As I was fondling this girls butt, she turned around and started yelling at me! I don’t remember what she was saying but she would not shut up and her friends were looking at me with this disgusting look on their face. I got scared and thought I wasn’t dreaming and that I was going to get in trouble for what I did. I was like what the hell did I just do. LOL

Mine was a bit scary because I had never heard of lucid dreaming when I had my first one. I was standing in the lounge when I realised I was dreaming but I couldn't wake myself up and I started to wonder if the reason for this was that I'd actually died in my sleep

      That does sound scary.

For me, I was at my friend's house in the dream. I just realised I was dreaming with no apparent trigger. I walked around and just experienced what it felt like to be in a dream (to be honest, I was a bit in awe that I was actually walking around whilst being asleep). I tried not to get too excited incase I woke up.

I tried to run through a door. It didn't work though because I didn't think I would be able to do it at the time. After that I made myself wake up so I could write it down (I didn't want it to be too long incase I forgot it).

It was really cool. I was really stressed to go to my next class. And then I realized "if I was dreaming, I wouldn't have to take the test.". I dismissed it as wistful thinking. Then I went to my classroom and my teacher was one that wasn't at the school anymore. I suddenly realized I was dreaming. Basically, there was a hall full of kids my age. Let's just say I did what I wanted for about 10 seconds before it ended.

Surreal. Nothing spectacular, though. I took a limo, with my date, to a luxury hotel. On the way, I marveled at the detail of the city. The colorful shops lining the streets were lit-up, busy, and surprisingly active for that time of night. There was a beautiful, modern, open market, and the high-rise buildings around it had sleek black windows that glinted in the moonlight. When we got there the bus boy, of all people, wouldn't let us in without payment. I pulled the 'don't you know who I am line', reached into my pocket, and discovered the pull anything you want out of your pocket trick. The card I gave him was denied, which royally pissed me off. I was unable to control my emotions. They cost me my lucidity and the dream.

my first lucid dream was back when i was seven or eight. i was in my old house, with some of my friends. it was dark inside, i think the power was out, and it was stormy outside. i was standing in my living room when i got the sense something was wrong. i began to walk towards the window as my friends disappeared. suddenly, a huge male deer charged through the glass and stopped to star at me. as he began to charge, i shut my eyes, and suddenly it was as if i was looking at a nintendo controller. it had a pause button, and a quit button. i realized i was dreaming, and as i became aware of the deer again, i pressed the quit button right away, and woke up.

      pretty cool =]

Mines faded into a hazy blackness but I was still concious and appeared in a different setting.

I first found out about Lucid dreams by some stray comment on an unrelated forum, and decided to Google it.
So I thought to try a WILD. A few days later it worked. I was lieing in my bed, telling myself that I would soon be dreaming, and suddenly I found myself in small about 4 by 4 meters room with wooden panels of some sort on the walls (no doors or windows, I think), without any sort of transition what so ever. I took two steps forward, did the nose RD and thought something like "Cool! I'm dreaming". Then I felt the dream ending, and one of the walls "disappeared" (like in an old 3D game, it got switched out with gray) and tried spinning, but got the technique confused and lay down on the floor. Woke up the next morning without remembering any other dreams.

It was back when I was twelve years old (nine years ago). I was on a beach with lots of people. I just realized I was dreaming and I blinked and suddenly everything froze as if I stopped time itself (see Hiro Nakamura's power from the TV show 'Heroes'). There was even a Frisbee stuck in midair. I walked amongst the people. This reality was fragile because anything or anyone I touched crumpled to the ground like a house of playing cards.

Suddenly a black shroud from the edges of my vision began to cover up the scene. I felt my blanket on top of me even though I was on a beach somewhere. Then I woke up.
Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead.'
