My first was also disappointingly short: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...54&postcount=2 |

my first one was so short before i woke up. i was at a reoccurring place in my dreams, a strange mall, and i recognized it. I got lucid and looked around, i was so shocked i finally did it. i walked around looking everywhere, then i tried flying, which was a major fail, aha. I tried, and i didn't go anywhere. So i tried jumping, but all i could do was glide a few feet off the ground. I got too excited though and woke up after about, 5 minutes. |

My first LD was pretty weird, the darkness came but I stared at my hand (what the forums said) and looked at the detail and stuff, and soon it came back into focus, but it was pretty out of focus. So I swam underwater (that's where I was) for a bit, talked to my dad, and (time skip, I guess I un-lucidified) was standing on an invisible platform above the city. Then the blackness came and I was like nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. My second lucid was vivid and amazing though. |

On LD hiatus. Probably will start again around new years.
Or, you know -- randomly throughout this year and next.
My first lucid was a sex related one, I am really immature I guess |
|
Lol, my second and third had sex in them, not vaginal though, since I would rather lose my virginity irl (which, admittedly, is kind of a worthless sentiment, but I shall stick by it.) |

well i had a recurring dream which turned into a reacurring lucid dream when i was about 5... since i didnt know what it was i didnt really think to much about it or tell to many people about it. |

Mine was a bit scary because I had never heard of lucid dreaming when I had my first one. I was standing in the lounge when I realised I was dreaming but I couldn't wake myself up and I started to wonder if the reason for this was that I'd actually died in my sleep |

It was really cool. I was really stressed to go to my next class. And then I realized "if I was dreaming, I wouldn't have to take the test.". I dismissed it as wistful thinking. Then I went to my classroom and my teacher was one that wasn't at the school anymore. I suddenly realized I was dreaming. Basically, there was a hall full of kids my age. Let's just say I did what I wanted for about 10 seconds before it ended. |

Surreal. Nothing spectacular, though. I took a limo, with my date, to a luxury hotel. On the way, I marveled at the detail of the city. The colorful shops lining the streets were lit-up, busy, and surprisingly active for that time of night. There was a beautiful, modern, open market, and the high-rise buildings around it had sleek black windows that glinted in the moonlight. When we got there the bus boy, of all people, wouldn't let us in without payment. I pulled the 'don't you know who I am line', reached into my pocket, and discovered the pull anything you want out of your pocket trick. The card I gave him was denied, which royally pissed me off. I was unable to control my emotions. They cost me my lucidity and the dream. |

my first lucid dream was back when i was seven or eight. i was in my old house, with some of my friends. it was dark inside, i think the power was out, and it was stormy outside. i was standing in my living room when i got the sense something was wrong. i began to walk towards the window as my friends disappeared. suddenly, a huge male deer charged through the glass and stopped to star at me. as he began to charge, i shut my eyes, and suddenly it was as if i was looking at a nintendo controller. it had a pause button, and a quit button. i realized i was dreaming, and as i became aware of the deer again, i pressed the quit button right away, and woke up. |

Mines faded into a hazy blackness but I was still concious and appeared in a different setting. |

I first found out about Lucid dreams by some stray comment on an unrelated forum, and decided to Google it. |

It was back when I was twelve years old (nine years ago). I was on a beach with lots of people. I just realized I was dreaming and I blinked and suddenly everything froze as if I stopped time itself (see Hiro Nakamura's power from the TV show 'Heroes'). There was even a Frisbee stuck in midair. I walked amongst the people. This reality was fragile because anything or anyone I touched crumpled to the ground like a house of playing cards. |

Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead.'
