      A Dream (My first post)

Hey Guys! I would first like to say that I am new to these forums! I find it interesting to see other peoples stories about their dreams. Well anyways I will be around.
I hope my story isn't too long and boring haha.

I am a Band member in my High school band. We have just started our summer vacation and apparently the band room was open today and I had forgotten because I was asleep. I woke up and check my phone and I see that my best friend texted me "Are you going to be there?" (this was 8 AM but I woke up around 1 PM I believe) I didn't reply and I go back to sleep. Now this is when I had my dream. I dreamed that I was there. I could remember everything that I did and some of the people I saw. When I first was in the dream I was walking up to the door we usually go through for our band room but then this old lady opened up the door for her room and said "Here". I look inside and I see all my band mates having fun/hanging out doing what ever. So I walk in and say "Hi" to my band teacher and walk off to my friend. When I had gotten there I thought I was late so I ask him what time it was and he replies with 1:30. then some other things happen. I remember the room being large (but in real life its small) There was also an indoor swimming pool that I had went swimming in. It was a huge pool. It was very interesting.

It was the most badass dream that I have ever had. Went swimming and just had fun.

I bet it was a decent dream, and welcome to DreamViews!

At which point in the dream were you aware you were dreaming? Or was this not a lucid dream? I didn't notice any reference to lucidity.

      Thanks for the welcome!

Well, I was aware that I was dreaming when I noticed the band room wasn't in the correct room. I am new to the concept of "Lucid Dreaming" and so I wan't to learn more about it and better control myself in my dreams. Like for one thing I have never flown in my dreams (I hope to accomplish) so there's a lot I have yet to explore. Right now I'm becoming more and more aware of my dreams. I am hoping this forum can help me!

I think you can learn a lot from the Attaining Lucidity section of the forum. You can learn to achieve it and control it once there.

In the DVA section courses are offered in the various techiques. Another Intro course should start in the near future. Keep a watch for it.

If you just want to study I would suggest the WIKI, a link located at the top of the page. There you can read tutorials and find information on nearly all aspects of Lucid Dreaming.

If you have questions, just ask. You may also want to post in the Introduction Zone. It gives people a chance to say hi and ask you what brought you here.

      Happy dreaming!
