Thread: My first lucid dream, what was yours?

Hi everyone, I'm interested in what everyone did when they had their first lucid dream so I'll get the started by saying mine.

I was at school in a Media class when I realised that I didn't even take the subject. Straight away I was lucid but to my suprise I didn't immediatly wake up as many on this forum seen to have done. I was kind of bowled over by the idea of being able to do whatever I wanted.

For some strange reason I decided to go and visit a senior teacher at my school. I simply walked out of the class without the teacher batting an eyelid and made my way downstairs into his office and started speaking to him about lucid dreaming.

This was when I remebered seeing him pull up into the staff car park in a really nice mitsubishi evo. I decided to try and use some of the powers I've seen fellow lucid dreamers write about so set on trying to make the door swing shut with a bang to distract him whilst I nabbed his keys of his desk. Unfortunately, I basically screamed in my mind for the door to shut and actually managed to blow it clean off its hinges .

Still, I had the car keys so ran out into the car park and climbed into the drivers seat. For some strange reason i was gripped by the desire to have a gun so I visualized hard in my head an MP5 submachine gun under the seat. It didn't work the first time so I kept repeating a mantra in my head: "This is a dream, you can do what you want" until it worked. By now pretty estatic i zoomed towards the school gates blasting them open with the same force I used on the door and wizzing round the neighbourhood. I then basically drove around really fast shooting at random people until I crashed into a tree and woke up .

Still, it was a fantastic experience and I've still got plenty to do . I'm going to see if I can travel to moon next time or take part in the Battle of Britain .

Anyone else want to share their first experience?

That sounds like a really awesome first LD. I wish I had the presence of mind in my first LD to keep that kind of control going. I don't mind posting it, here's the entry from my dream journal (the names are changed):

It was 8 in the morning and Ian woke me up wanting to hang out. I was upset about him waking me up and being in my room, but I followed him out the door and into the streets of some big city. He was carrying something in his hands but I don't remember what it was exactly. Something made me do a Reality Check and I pinched the inside of my elbow and felt something similar to pain but it wasn't exactly pain. The Reality Check made me realize that I was dreaming and I became kind of passively lucid. The next thing I remember is I was standing with Ian outside of some kind of coffee shop or something and I looked at him and said "Hey, dude, I bet I can fly." And before he answered I started jumping up and down really high like the ground was made of rubber, but I couldn't fly. So I sprouted Daeva wings like in Aion, and for some reason they were Elyos wings. So I decided to fly to Chloe's house and started flying around looking for it because I didn't recognize the city. As I was flying, a breeze picked up and blew against me, but I remembered I was lucid and made the breeze stop. Then I realized that I could just make any old house become Chloe's since I was lucid and in control. So I landed at the nearest house, and somehow Ian was already outside the house and he kept complaining that he was worried because he didn't know who's house it was and someone might come outside and see us snooping around or something, but I ignored him and tried to open the door. Then I remembered again that I was lucid and i flew up to the window I knew to be Chloe's and opened it. When I got inside I saw Chloe asleep in her bed and for some reason decided I wanted her to be Jasmine so I changed her into Jasmine. I got in bed with her and woke her up and we started fooling around. Then her little sister peeped into her door and I hid under the covers while Jasmine got up to close the door and tell her sister to go away. It was about at this point that I forgot about being lucid and lost lucidity for the rest of the dream. Jasmine came back to bed, then I heard Jasmine's dad outside the room yelling and stomping up the stairs. I got really scared and dove under her bed just as he busted through the door into the room with Jasmine's mom behind him trying to calm him down. I don't remember exactly what he was yelling, but I remember that he was upset because he thought she had a boy in her room with her. She eventually convinced him that she was alone in her room and he left. Jasmine came back to bed and we continued having sex until the dream ended and I woke up.

Your dream sounded really fun . Good to know that someone else considered sex in their first lucid dream lol. Haven't posted any of my other dreams on here since been a while since I joined but one of my best dreams was being in a strip club surrounded by all the members of Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls... you can guess the rest .

It was last night.
I was sitting in a chair in some place that the dream had to create and there was this McDonalds Monopoly (I was playing this...and i am losing...or lost...) piece that said that i had 508 (yes, it was exactly 508) pieces to choose from and I could get as many of the Housing Sets as i wanted. So, I told a couple of associates i never saw before...(apparently i was in some office.)
After we got out of a Black car and started to walk down a street I suddenly realized that this was too good to be true and yelled out "THIS IS A DREAM" in the dream...things began to get wierd after that...I suddenly had thought and awareness. I thought to float and fly...and my feet were lifted off of the ground feet above of the associates(i love dream flying ) I suddenly, out of an immature whim, thought that everyone should be naked...and the clothes vanished off of everyone...It was getting wierder and wierder when someone, a female stranger, asked me to lay down(I thought that maybe i should take this opprotunity to have sex, so...)...then everything went fuzzy and i woke up...(I can control D.C's in my first Lucid?!)

BTW...i know i posted this in a topic...i accedently clicked submit too many times...thats why it 'spammed'....

I don't feel like writing the set up, but it went from a dream to a nightmare. This big, black rat bit my finger and it's teeth sank pretty deep. Started to slam it against the floor and walls and door. Suddenly, I became lucent. I knew I was dreaming, but was more observing. Within 10secs I woke up

I think that was the second one, but it's the only lucid I remember

so I was in the room that I was actually sleeping in (at my ski lodge) and then i realised i was lucid. the first thing i did was look at myself in the mirror, when i saw my reflection a like look a horrible monster with a dark oozing face, it was really scary. This shock caused me to fall of my chair. Then once i was relaxed i attempted flying. Since there was a low roof, i flew only about 1 metre above ground level and kind of hovered on the spot, but i lacked complete control, i was kind wobblying all over the place and almost crashed. Then, i got to the stage where i thought i had woken up and was not lucid. so i went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and was again horrified by the reflection of myself i saw in the mirror, a monster. This was when i realised i was still lucid, and so i stupidly attempted to wake myself up. I did this by blinking my eyes a few times and it worked, i woke up.

I was so proud of my lucid dream that i then woke up my dad, this about 3 in the morning, and told him all about. he was unimpressed, he thinks its all bullshit. anyway, that was over a year ago and i have still not had another lucid dream, please help.
