Ever experience being blind in one eye?

As in you close one of your eyes, and the one that's open is only giving you a dim or completely black picture? This is in a lucid dream, of course. Then you can end up losing lucidity because you keep trying to get vision in that eye.

It happens to me every once in a while, and drives me NUTS!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Dudeeee, that happened to me today during a nap!!!
It was so dumb, i tried everything I could think of.
I think it happened to me because I fell asleep with a pillow on my head ahah.

This was my first time being blind in a dream.
Well what happened was I was doing the MILD during a nap, it worked. During the dream I could see out of both eyes but once I was Lucid I was blinded in the left and a tad of the right ( like the top third of it ).
It drove me crazy I tried shaking my dream head, I closed my dream eyes and opened them again, still couldn't see. I then awoke but stood very still.
I was then carried into another dream very quickly, and guess what, I was blinded again!
Grrr, I tried Dream spinning, but that didn't work either. I tried ignoring it, and asked myself why this was happening.. Cause I mean, this is my dream I should be able to control how I see. I then awoke in frustration.

      I feel your pain...
      :peace:

Never had this exact thing happen to me, but I have had both eyes close so I couldn't see anything... My best advice is to focus on the other senses to stabilize the dream and try not to think about the fact that you can't see. In my experience it comes back on its own after a few seconds.

There was one time when I had a third eye between my other two. It was pretty awesome, a nice change from my usual vision failures. That was nonlucid though.

No. It happened to me when I was awake though.

I went blind for about two minutes. Fucking terrifying. It was due to lack of oxygen. I was in a truck with the windows up, and I was doing... stuff.

Anyway, I suggest saying, "This is a dream, I can see," calmly over and over until you can see.

One time for me. I didn't think about it that much and eventually it came back.

just switch to your other eye?
I switch eyes(in real life) all the time, mostly subconscieus tough (I'm crosseyed without a lazy eye, but I just always look with only one eye)
