finally had my first lucid..dont even know how

i've been trying to get wilds for a while now and even using the finger method and dream recall etc etc. this morning as i was laying in bed i went back to sleep and had my first lucid. i was at a school and was going to some field trip at the end of the day. school goes on blah blah, then i go out to my car and its extremely dark and humid and lightning everywhere and weird noises coming from strange shadows in the sky. i inquire as to what it is to someone who WAS one of my friends but now looks like some strange rubber toy, and he says the Jurassic age is upon us again. so i get in my car and he hands me a Sig, so i go park my car and recall Bitter End by Sum 41 playing on my orange ipod shuffle attached to an FM transmitter and i see a tree in my rear view mirror. SOMEHOW all of a sudden I'm like "I'm dreaming" and close my eyes and open them again and its snapped in half (i was trying to make it explode but that worked too). so then i rub my hands together and get chills down my back, get out and am wielding my Sig around like a badass then all of a sudden its back into a dream as if u were imagining something throughout the day - black/gray in your head- not the extreme vividness I had about 10 seconds prior. So i don't know how i LOST lucidity or even the dream itself, nor how I entered. It must have just been one of those random dreams everyone has where they realize they're dreaming-- but documented this time. Interesting..
