DreamBeard liked post by Azaleaj On thread : Wake back to Bed issues and frustrations....
I stay up until between 1-3 am 4 nights a week and it does not negatively affect my LD practice. We all have different sleep rhythms and I like to respect mine. I think our culture thinks it's bad...

I know it's just anecdotal, but I've personally found, after years of experimenting, that getting to sleep around 3am, waking at 8am, and then a minimum 20-minute WBTB yield by far the best lucid...

DreamBeard liked post by Letaali On thread : Wake back to Bed issues and frustrations....
Well, all I know is that twice I've gotten lucid after being up a couple hours and going back to sleep.
One night I got 4h of sleep, got up, went to teach 7th grade some physics and got home to...

There is nothing wrong with the WBTB, the only problem I see is going to bed so late. What is important so late at night that you cannot get to it in the morning? Many disagree, but actually sleeping...

DreamBeard liked post by dolphin On thread : For those suffering from lack of sleep...?
You could try to find some time in the day to take a nap. If you could nap long enough to dream, that's an extra chance each day to lucid dream. Look up polyphasic sleep cycles and see if you could...

Hey there,
Lucid dreaming with little sleep is always going to be a tough proposition. Even on nights where you do get enough sleep, your body will likely be so tired out your sleep will be very...

DreamBeard liked post by dolphin On thread : In the game of lucid dreaming, is the subconscious an opponent?
Think of the subconscious like a computer inside your brain. It's an ally, but only if you know how to operate it. Hacking skills come in handy for hard-coded instincts like non-lucidity. The better...

DreamBeard liked post by mimihigurashi On thread : Robert Waggoner's new book?!
Lol, same, internet forums have been more useful than books to me, then again a lot of the info here is from old books like ETWOLD, so not discrediting the old ones. Let us know if that book's worth...

DreamBeard liked post by ThreeCat On thread : Robert Waggoner's new book?!
I agree with mimi, except that the dream yoga books seem a bit more substantial to me (for instance, illusory body practices). Many people do not like the spiritual aspects of these books, though,...

DreamBeard liked post by Memm On thread : Can you learn real life skills in an ld? (i.e. backflip)
I think if you practice a back flip correctly in waking life with an instructor you could definitely perfect it in LDs, but because it would take consistent practice you would need to get LDs fairly...

This is an except from my dream journal: I actually didn't know how it happened, but after reading some more stuff I pretty much fell naturally into the "roll check" technique. As for what happened...
