Interesting... I will most certainly be trying this tonight then reporting back in this thread. I have a few questions: -Should we write down the dreams that we had that night when we wake up via...

Thanks for sharing! I'll try this tonight and see how it goes - my recall has been extremely poor lately, to the point where I had an LD two nights ago and could only remember a brief moment of...

That happens to me all the time. I realize I'm dreaming but I still feel like I'm just "along for the ride." I want to be 100% aware, aware as I am while I'm typing this, and remember all the...

There is such thing as being semi-lucid, or having a low-level lucid dream. In these, one is usually rather lethargic and passive about the fact that they're asleep, and they don't realize the full...

I was just wondering what is wrong with saying will when saying a mantra?

Try MILDing with your mantra being 'i remember my dreams tonight' [never use the word 'will']. Reread you DJ entries and try to find Dream Signs. Also try ADA. that increases recall.

Naiya's MILD Technique Introduction Most of my lucids are MILDs. Even though it is probably one of the less popular methods, in my opinion it is one of the most reliable and versatile...

2 LDs ago I did the hand RC and my hand looked spot on normal. I didn't fall for it however, I looked away, looked back and had 7 fingers. Gotta be aware!

Well, I'm me but in my past lucids I've found that I always have invulnerability and strength, so I incorporated that into my character. In my dreams I am proud, intelligent, and very skilled at...

This is why it's best to use two or more RC methods each time you do a RC. I would suggest pinching your nose and trying to breathe, as that is the other one that I use besides counting fingers. Each...

I'm aware, but if you really don't believe in stuff like this, there's no point in posting on this thread.

You did the RC but you didn't question reality, that often happens to me too. For example just last night in a dream i got in a car with some friends and it went forward for a few meters before it...

Doesn't sound like your RC failed. You just weren't paying enough attention and you never became lucid. In normal dreams we don't have the ability to use reason. When we become lucid we regain that...

MadMonkey's right. Your RC didn't fail, but your awareness simply wasn't high enough to notice that having 6 fingers meant you were dreaming. If you do a lot of RCs in waking life, especially if you...
