Playlaughdream liked post by realdealmagic On thread : connection between sleep and dream to induce more LDs
Thinking that you could be sleeping isn't a complex or original idea, it's what you should incorporate into your RCs from the very beginning! The wonder of the fact that this could very well be a...

Finding the best time for you to wake up during REM sleep will require some experimentation. As with everything else in lucid dreaming, everybody is different. You will find that other people have...

Playlaughdream liked post by gab On thread : Best time for REM
Well, afternoon nap may work. Although for me, it doesn't work as well as a morning nap, within 1-3 hrs of waking up. If the afternoon nap is close to your normal bed time, not sure how our body...

I also WILD on my back. I picked my sofa instead of my bed, because we are conditioned to sleep in bed. So we tend to "just fall asleep". Sofa is my special place, and just thinking about it makes me...

I think you do need to keep working on your dream recall forever, especially if you're spending a long time in the dream world and becoming lucid a lot. I go through stages, sometimes to test...

Definitely! I just started reading "Mindfulness in plain English". It's about meditation and the results of it and a heigthened awareness is one of the benefits... so as dutchraptor said all sorts of...

Playlaughdream liked post by Voldmer On thread : Yoga Pranayama (Breathing Exercises) and Lucid Dreaming
I tried another pranayama-based experiment for a week or so: lying on my right side, and breathing exclusively through the left nostril - for 10 minutes or there about. This, allegedly, feeds the...

All I can say, is that whenever I don't write in my dream journal regularly, my LD count goes down. To me there is no reason not to write in your dream journal. It helps with recall and a whole...

With me, my lucid dreaming pretty much relies on dream journalling. Some people are different of course as RDM said. It helps me recognize my dream, I can sort of tell myself to watch of out for...

I'd say forever, not meaning you need to write dreams down forever but the dream journals usefulness never goes away. I stopped writing down my dreams and went from remembering vividly 3-5 dreams a...

Yes totally true. Meditation pretty much helps for every single form of lucid dreaming, most awareness practices do. And the more relaxed you are the better. A lot of people use yoga exercises to...

And alot of the guides stress that it is easier, the reason why Im doing this poll is to see if it is easier to do it on your side, which for me is more comfortable.

Well the main difference between trying to have an OBE and trying to have a lucid dream takes place during the vibrational stage of sleep paralysis. Typically, one would wait through this stage until...

Mar 28th, 2011. Used short WBTB method (10 min) at 4 am and remained motionless. Transition experiences arised. Dream scenery arised as an old house I live. Sounds and DC arised. Upon trying to gain controll, I woke up.

    First LD

by Playlaughdream on 09-24-2010 at 09:25 PM
September 2010, new moon, at 4:00 am I was walking on a strand of sand between the sea and the lake where huge waves were forming. A giant wave came and receded with a few surviving dream characters with strange, changing faces and lights that turned into eyes and real friends as they looked many years ago (but none of these dream signs were recognized). We talked about what countries remained after the flood then I suspected I was dreaming only when I saw a close friend looking a lot thinner and younger than he really is. No reality test was necessary. I said "I know I´m dreaming" and decided to fly. At this moment the dream became lighter and with vivid colors. I began flying but the flight was disappointingly slow and soon aferwards the dream collapsed and I woke up.
