StephL liked post by Sisyphus50 On thread : Teaching Children to Lucid Dream
I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's a classic stimulus-response to a perceived threat to ones life: kill or be killed. It's fairly obvious which one any living organism would choose. I'm sure...

Yes, it's satanic and you'll go to Hell.
Really, why would you assume it's evil in any way? It's a conscious form of dreaming, which you do unconsciously at least 7-10 times a night anyway.

I would argue that you can only get your point 5 is a direct result of point 1, which I've already outlined why I disagree with. For if you believed that animals (other conscious creatures in...

Human aggression and the desire to dominate our local tribe are also innate in our (male) DNA, but that doesn't make it moral to beat our wives and kill our rivals, whether one chooses to view...

I don't believe it is irrelevant. You don't exist in a vacuum and neither does your income. If everyone gave up meat tomorrow there would be a surplus of 9/10ths of the grain production subsidy...

Actually it's not a fact. The only reason it is cheaper is because our governments subsidise the cost of corn and wheat, which artificially lowers the price of meat to ~30% of its true cost. You...

It does as soon as you accept the premise that all sentient animals (we too are animals) are equal in terms of a right to life and to avoid unnecessary suffering.
You're almost right here....

The technicality is that you're speaking about different time frames, and vastly different environments. Just like how its usually a good idea to never lose your Queen in chess, but in some games the...

In that case you aren't really disagreeing with me, you're just elaborating on a vague point I made :) The second part of your paragraph is what I was banging on about. Quantum mechanics is a good...
