      Horrible nightmare.. or was it?

I can't really remember this well because I refused to write this down and wanted to forget it (as I've been home alone for the last few days, so I was scared out of my nutz).. but like, when this dream I was having was nearing the close, I randomly found myself in an unknown place (turns out to be my old house's sitting room, now that I think about it) and went into some sort of trance or whatever. I really don't know how to explain it but I'll do the best I can.

I got a brief mental image of one of those chakra images (with the person sitting n w/e) I think (it was in relation to all this meditation, AP, OBE stuff I think), then went into a REALLY scary state. My arms were like outstretched in the air weirdly and I couldn't move them. My eyes also spazzed out and went into the back of my head (reminds me of old-school possession?), and I couldn't move them either, so my vision was half and half of something. There was this really horrible noise as well, which is reminiscent of the white noise you get during meditation (in a sense that it was very strong, all around me, and constant) but sounded completely different. It was considerably lower in (whatever the word is.. pitch, tone, w/e?) so it was a deeper sound (I don't know how to explain this well). I closed my eyes as well, and then I saw a rotating box very vividly, which had words on it but I couldn't quite make them out. I recall thinking it said ''I am in the future'' or something like that and then freaked out 'cause I thought I was in the future.

If I remember right, I went into this state really briefly beforehand, then went out, then went back into it, but the 2nd time lasted for ages, and then I couldn't remember how to get out and thought I'd be stuck like it forever. I managed to force myself out of it though and then woke up, realising none of it had actually happened.. or had it? I had no idea what had just happened, or whether it was even a dream. I'm still rather confused as to what happened.

Is this just a random nightmare, or could it be something more?

EDIT: I have no idea whether I was lucid either. I'm REALLY confused about this.
EDIT 2: When I closed my eyes and saw that box, it was before I went into that state the 2nd time.

I thought that too. Now I'm not so sure? Just had a very frightening experience which I believe could be an OBE: http://www.dreamviews.com/f19/obe-lu...6/#post1644179

The world I was in felt very similar, if not the same, to this one.
