Recurring dream of being unable to get out of a place......

Hi all, nice to be here.
I have a dream that I can get into a place or room via a narrow entrance but when I come to get out I can't because the entrance has shrunk and it's now too small to get out of. I have this dream often and it sometimes wakes me up in a panic at being trapped.

How long has this been going on, and is there something going on in your waking life that makes you feel trapped? I had some similar recurring dreams last year right after my son was born. Becoming lucid during one of them finally stopped it for me.

Thanks for a swift reply.
It's been going on for some years really, my life is one of recent retirement (I'm 65) It's a mystery to me.
I'm not aware of feeling trapped.
What is 'becoming lucid' ?
