awhile ago i was lying in bed and drifting off to sleep and everything was normal but i didnt care which was normal, but after awhile i herd a whisper and it was quite evil i cant remember exactly what it said but it immidiatly got my attention, i went to wake up but when i woke up i just feel deeper into a nightmare. Now i wasnt sure if i was dreaming falling asleep (if i was already asleep) or it was some odd form of Sleep Paralysis but whatever it was sorta scared me a tad.

Occasionaly i get whispers in my sleep, i posted somewhere else that i was asleep, not dreaming but i was aware that i was asleep, because i couldnt move and everything was black. But i herd a whisper wake up and i IMMIDIATLY woke up and got a bit of a jolt, now this is getting VERY annoying, it is a bit scary when it happens, but usually it only happens around nightmares, like if it happens as im going to sleep i know im gonna nightmare. ?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Do you mean you were just laying in bed and sleep paralysis just hit you and you started hearing things, I got this resently used to happen when I was a kid alot, I'd be afraid and the next thing I'd know was that I couldn't move and heard weird things and saw weird things. The bad thing was the more I feared it the more it happened.

It is NOT schizophrenia

It could be paranoia. When being paranoid, things can switch from normal to nightmare quickly (as you mentioned everything was normal at first). Anything small - or nothing at all, for that matter - can trigger oneself to become suspicious when being paranoid, causing the dream to rapidly become a nightmare.

I'm paranoid myself, so I'm speaking from personal experience.

ya if your paranoiad during sleep paralysis it can be a bad thing.

Just last night I heard someone come up stairs to my room during sleep paralysis and no one in my family had been up there.

I think there's a perfectly rational explanation to all this, forget Drugs or szhizophrenia. It's called Hypnagogic hallucination which is basically an episode of seeing and/or hearing things when you fall asleep. Visual imagery is more common, but some people experience aural hallucination as well. Don't freak out, it's only in your mind!

I would certainly consider the hypnagogic hallucination before I jumped to any conclusions about mental illness. The western medical community would make responses like that, paranoia and schizophrenia, from a total disbelief in or lack of knowledge about, meta-physical aspects of dreamtime states. I didn't expect that here. Anyway, unless you are showing symptoms of mental illness elsewhere in your life, I certainly would not deduce that you were suffering from either of those conditions.

Strange indeed. I get whispers sometimes too, but thats at the end of a dream or nightmare.. and they're more like shouts neways... maybe where you live is closely connected to the spirit realm? Or there is a toxic leak in your bedroom..

Actually, the Hypnagogic state is very much like like schizophrenia in every way.

Is it always the same voice or voices? If so, you may be getting whispers from spiritual entities, which is nothing too bad, only if you feel scared of them you shouldn't hear them and you should state that you're not going to pay them attention and they should move to the light. Try it, it may work. If the paralysis doesn't go away ask for an angel to help you.
Hypnagogic sleep is a lot like being between the physical and spiritual planes so sometimes weird things happen while in it.
But that's not schizophrenia...

That can be terrifying I understand. Personally I've never experience audio HI just some visual images quickly fleeting. It sounds to me like normal HI with just some element of fear involved. Just tell yourself that there is nothing to worry about, you could even have a conversation with this beast, (provided it doesn't happen all day long, then I'd see a doctor)
