Hijab makes you look shitty

One thing that has always bothered me with Islam (apart from the usual things) is the fact that women wear ugly pieces of cloth commonly referred to as hijab. This shit is just god-awful to look at. 95% of the time it makes you look like a stuck-up bitch in her menopause even if you just started out growing pubes. Apart from that, how am I to tell what kind of trashy excuse for hair they might have coming out of their scalp? What, is it going to be red, blond or are they carrying some monstrous form of hair loss around with them? Either way, with that shit on your head, I don't think I'd dare to want to know. Now I'm not even talking about the political implications of having all women wearing clothing to cover their head. This is purely aesthetic: It's fucking ugly and I'd never bone you, even if you were an atheist. Just look at this: What, were you just released from hospital or something? Doctor: "The process of bainwashing you into Islam is almost complete. - Congratulations." Patient: "How long do I have wear this bandage on my head?" Doctor: "It's part of the religion." Patient: And look at how depressed and angry she is. That's the exact facial expression I'd be wearing if I had to cover my head in what looks like a table cloth bought on an Arabic flea market - thoroughly pissed off. Now, to be fair, there are some exceptions to be made. First of all, if it makes you look more like a hippie than a Muslim, that's acceptable, provided you shower at least twice a week and before sex. Also, let us not confuse the mutilation of female beauty that is the Muslim headscarf with the bandana. Much like the hijab, it gives off a distinct sense of not having washed your hair anytime recently, but at least you get to look like a pirate. You see that in her eyes? "Yaaarrrr, I'm coming for your hidden treasures (and your cock too)." And now onto the final comment - I will keep it concise and to the point. "A woman's right to choose"? More like a woman's right to look like a time traveling sack of shit. Just don't go complaining to me if you don't get any hard atheist dick for you to chew on. Oh, and keep that shit out of class rooms as well, seriously now. It's bad enough as it is.

Women, generally, do not wear 'everyday' clothing based solely on how sexually attractive they think men will find them. If you seriously believe that is true, and that every woman is out to cater to your specific ideals of of "what feminitity should be," and how women should dress, than it is you sir, who are the fool.

in some ways when they say it's their choice i don't fully believe it. They may believe they are choosing to wear it but they know full well if they don't, depending on their family/community they will be severely frowned upon or even cast out. Does the Qu'ran actually demand the wearing of the outfit or not? I assume it must at least say it's preferred thing otherwise it wouldn't be done. Some people in my school suggest, since we live in the UK which, if you ignore the growing number of secular people, has Christianity as it's official religion. We should not allow them to wear their outfits in our country as when you move into another country you are supposed to conform to their culture, our culture is not headscarf's. It is the same when you travel to Egypt for example, women are advised to cover themselves by wearing clothes that hide their legs, most of their arms etc, as that is their culture. I'm not sure whether i agree but i think it some ways it can make a social tension. When i look at my six-form of 200 kids, who i see every day. The Muslim girls almost all wear that outfit and always hang around together near the door to our school( they get the way on purpose it seems, i am not sure if this is because they wish to be intimidating or they are just a little impolite), i have not seen any English girls with them. It's the same with the Muslim guys, of which they are a large number of our school, they hang around n a big group in the way of doors or either side of a hallway so you have to walk through them, sometimes one or two of them will be prats and stick their foot out or randomly shout at you etc. It's really sad, I'm not really sure what can be done about it to be honest. Last year i asked some of them their nationality. They said either Pakistani or Muslim. I explained that their religion isn't their nationality, it;s were their born, they were all born here but they insist their Pakistani or more often just Muslim. Some of them also seem to think because of this, English law does not apply to them, which may explain why they are abusive of other kids sometimes. I don't want to side of the British National Party to force Muslims to leave our country or anything but something does have to be done. Maybe we could drive Imams to teach of respect in Mosques or something...(

For once, I agree with wendylove. The OP is just insulting. I'm also just throwing out that there are reasons behind the headscarf as well. Rules and regulations between male/female interaction are much more rigid under Islam in order to try and prevent temptation that tends to come more easily from scantily clad women. It's supposed to help keep men from having impure thoughts, however successful/unsuccessful that may be. Different people are attracted to different things - the face, breasts, hair, etc. They're just trying to cover all the bases... at least if they're good Muslims. Headscarves can also be functional. Have you ever had long, thin hair and tried walking around in the wind? If it's not restrained, it's not fun. And on another note, Muslims aren't the only religion who use a head-covering. In Eastern Orthodoxy, women must cover their heads before entering a church. In Judaism, the men wear a Yammika (sp?) and I think (I haven't checked) the women must wear some head cover when going to worship. It's also a sign of respect to the recipient of their worship.

Insulting, mocking, and spewing of foul language is not permitted here at DV.
