I hope you didn't think I was saying that ^^ It's okay to question and disagree of course, no problems there. I would just hope that you have a valid reason as to why you do not think enough evidence is present. All I'm doing here is provide some material that you atleast could consider I respect your own opinion on the subject.
Well, you could say I believe in Evolution... but not how you believe in it lol. It's just my way of filling in the gaps. When scientists uncover more evidence to back up their theory, I'd gladly add it to my ball of data and try to make sense of it all.

Lol all cool. I'm surrounded by ppl (in person) that aren't so open. Errr, can get rather annoying really. It's fine for them to try and force their beliefs on me, but when I try to explain to them why I don't believe in it, all hell breaks loose lol. It's such a sensitive subject huh.

There are no missing links. What are you talking about?

You have clearly demonstrated that you would rather believe your personal ideal rather than the truth.

This is why I asked; what evidence do you need to be shown evolution is true. I can easily provide, as I have, any evidence you need.

Hi O'nus, thanks for that long post on the first page, I bookmarked it for further reference

Noogah, you should really read O'nus' post, it answers any question you could possibly have left.

To be honest there's already overwhelming evidence for evolution (both evolution itself and the theory of evolution by natural selection, which is different).

If there wasn't it wouldn't be science.

The word 'theory' does not mean 'hypothesis' in this context, it means 'well established explanatory framework'. In the same way that we have the theory of gravitation; gravity is a patent fact.

This post, it explains a lot of things.

I don't know which questions you may have, that's what this thread is for really. I assume you have questions though, since you entered the thread. Unless of course you entered to watch other people's questions get answered.

So what do you think? Of evolution that is. Since you don't have any questions, I assume you've formed a final opinion.

I once asked myself what the hell evolutionists where talking about when I was young. All it took was a simply textbook to explain it to me. Everything ranging from exploratory scientific findings and decades of independant research that seems collectively consistent has convinced me, and continues to convince.

In the end, maybe the dinosaurs were lies put by Jesus himself to test our faith! Either way, it seems like a pretty well-crafted lie.

Yes, I would rather go along with what's cooking up in my head until more facts are given to me. But I'm not forcing anybody to believe what I think (I know ppl would disagree with my views anyway, hence why I didn't explain it).

@ Xei: I'm all for science. But this theory as you say is 'well established explanatory framework'. That means we haven't uncovered everything there is to know about it. And that is why I've drifted off into a different tangent and tried to string them all together with my own theories instead of just accepting that one Theory of Human Evolution as it is.

You seem nice, and I hate to say this, but why are you being pretentious? You came into this thread, in which I have already provided mounds of evidence for, and then claim there are missing links and proclaim to have a personal theory that you do not share with us?

Well, TamiDoll, I have reasons to believe your theory is crap.. but, I am not going to share them. You would find offense in that statement, now wouldn't you? But I am not going to assert that as my fundamental argument.

Instead, I am going to ask you, how did you come to think that, in all the evidence I have already provided, that there are missing links and it is incomplete?

Evolution is complete and fully proven. You ought to consider that you are deliberately being ignorant and neglecting the evidence in favor of your personal bias.

*sigh* I don't think the theory of Evolution is all a load of crap. It's actually one of the first things that sparked all my questions that are boggling my mind.

My theories are connected to the myths and legands of Gods (yes the ones ancient civilizations believed in, not the common bible today). Also connected to all the submerged cities in the oceans. Connected to craters scattered around the globe. And the mysteries we have yet to uncover. I'm curious about the Dead Sea, Red and Blue Sea, the Bermuda Triangle and the Nazca Lines. My theories are also stringed to the scattered tribes found everywhere. And why humans within large cities and such developed countries have a hard time coexisting on a harmonious level with the ecosystem and natural environment around them.

You may want to provide me with more facts to answer my questions, but I doubt it'd actually make me scrap my crazy theory.

Well obviously I cannot properly provide evidence or reasoning for evolution unless you explain your "crazy theory". Evolution is very compatible with a lot of things, including Theism, and especially Deism (which you seem to be, but that is just a wild guess).

This is my thread and I encourage you to explain your theory - I would not consider it digression but enlightenment. Do not expect prejudice in sharing a new idea. I'd love to hear it!

Imma get bombarded with negative comments if I explained my theory lol. It's not something that I think would be accepted lightly by others. Sorry.

And I don't think I'm Deism. I don't think a God created the universe and everything in it.

Well, you got this mod on your side - I'll remove any silly digression.

Plus, it seems more like you're young and enjoying the creative process rather than busying yourself with the concrete science of things. Correct me if I am wrong.

Ah I love science. I actually hope that one day science can provide an answer to everything I question and ponder about and maybe prove my theory wrong. Unfortunately thus far, no answers, just more questions lol.

Lol. I just briefly told somebody. They didn't seem to reject my views in anyway.

Iono if I should brief you too though. You seem to be very science orientated. No room for speculation. x.x; Correct me if I'm wrong.

No room for speculation in science..? You do know that scientists consider themselves to be the most speculative people in existence? I also subscribe to www.skeptic.com and question everything as much as possible. As far as I am convinced, I do not know anything. At most, I am only 98% sure of anything.

Further, if I did respond as an assclown, then I encourage you to quote it to others that a DV mod is so prejudicial.

I would like to hear this theory as well, incidentally. If you think it'll be reacted to negatively, put it in BD, and anything you say will automatically look to make a good deal more sense.
