Lightbulb There is no limit to what you can dream...or is there?

      Hello,
Whenever I have a lucid dream, I tend to experiment rather than fooling around.
Last night I decided to confront the issue of whether dreams have limits. Thus, I summoned as many People as I could. Once I reached the ten thousands, faces started to get blurry and details such as ears and fingers were missing, even on the characters I had already summoned. I continued until their numbers reached the first hundred thousand, then the second, and eventually the third. I had summoned around 350.000 Dream Characters when they started disappearing. The second they got out of my sight, they disappeared.
I did this systematically, by summoning them in groups of 100s, making a note for every group summoned.
Once I completed the experiment, I woke myself up and wrote down the number of groups. According to that number, the first few disappeared around group 3400-3500, setting my limit around 345.000.
Of course it is impossible to keep track of such a huge number of people, which means that the numbers are most likely very inaccurate. I daresay my limit may be several tens of thousands lower, or maybe even a whole hundred thousand.
To get to the point, I am asking all individuals interested this to try it out themselves and post their maximum in this thread. When doing this, I recommend intervals of at least 5 seconds between the summonings, otherwise the dream might get unstable.

How do you summon a specific number of people? I think i have had about 2000 people in a dream before based on the setting and what I know in real life but my mind could have changed some stuff and there may have been nowhere near that number.....
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

There are different ways. Sometimes I can just summon the bunch, sometimes I need to think of, say, an elevator filled with a specific number of people.

How do you know it is exactly that number of people and not something that just looks about right? Like have you summoned 100 people before and then lined them up and counted them to make sure?

      350,000 people i havn't even summoned 1 person let alone 350,000

now lets give them weapons, fight to the death!!!
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

I think it would be interesting to test other techniques to.
When I have some free lucid time (which I probably won't - there's too much to do)
I'll try this, or maybe some other lucid experiment.

I've only ever summoned 1 person at a time. I have a long way to go!

This is interesting though! I wish I had the creativity and imagination to think up experiments like this, but unfortunately, I don't. -_-

There probably are limits to what the mind can handle, but nothing else.

Naturally, there should exist such a boundary, but I think, that you're brain might be pretty good at conceiling it, theres no way you could tell, if your brain just planted a memory of something or if it did really happened in the dream.

Like did the apple fell of the tree, or does your brain just planted that memory into yours. Which would be too seperate things, even in the dream world, but the memory would be the same. And as we all know those can be pretty much inaccurate at times, even the real ones.

I remember one lucid dream I had in which I made my friends TF2 characters and then painted with my hand around the horizon line probably 500 minuscule warriors for us to kill. Though, by the time they began to get close enough to start actually attacking (which was really fun, by the way), a lot of them had disappeared.

I suppose it just relies on your mind's ability to maintain a memory of the subtle details- when numbers are that high, it's probably less significant to your mind to have exact count, and the focus is lost.

If in this experiment everything suddenly gets stuck; my suggestion - ctrl-alt-del.

There are so many things that destroy this experiment. The ability to keep track and count numbers is one big thing. And also if you tell yourself that there might be a limit your mind could create one.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

Can't this be used to increase memory and stuff of that nature? You can try to keep a many people there as possible.
