      Citrus fruit and dreaming

So for a while I had been having terrible recall and almost no lucids. Then last week I started eating tangerines and oranges, everyday that I ate one my recall was better and I got a lucid, when I stopped eating them, my recall went bad again and no lucids, is there any connection between citrus fruit and dreams, or could it be something else helping me?

Does it have B6? Then probably so.

There is probably some vitamins in their that help you recall the dream in there, most likely B6.

That is interesting. I can never fall asleep if I eat oranges/orange juice before bed.

Hmm might be a thing i want to test.. I'll report back after a week how it went because some weeks ( like this one apperantly ) I have a terrible recall.
But its very interesting. May also try some other fruits for some weeks...

Well I can at least say orange juice isn't doing any harm to my dreams, had a lucid today again and I was drinking about 1l of orange juice during the day and also the night itself.

Awesome, well it's nice to know that citrus fruit may work ^_^ I stopped eating some for a week to see what happened and I'm having terrible recall again. So I think I might actually be onto something

Maybe the citrusses have a effect, but i think training at recalling would be good to! but how bad was your recall before you ate it, and how good was it after you began eat them?
i gonna try this out for sure

      This is interesting.
perhaps we could get a group of people to go a week without any citrus produce, record the results. possibly the amount of dreams remembered each night.
Then each week increase the number of citrus produce eaten, one on the first week, two on the second and so forth. repeat for 5 or 6 weeks, record the results and we might just prove something.

      Does grapefruit juice count? LOL

For it's colestoral lowering effect to the blood stream, I consume a half of a gallon of grapefruit juice twice a week.

All though I have been lucid dreaming for many years so I cant say if or not that the juice helps.

I have two apples a day and I'm pretty sure that that helps,
Quite a lot of people seem to claim that apple juice helps so i think i may be doing something right

I use an idea I got from Gnosis website, A Guru in Mexico. It says under nourishment.
"Make your breakfast with the citrus fruit and almonds ground with the honey of the bee"
For me this amounts to an orange, a spoon full of honey and a few almonds sometime (Maybe an hour) before bedtime.
I dont use this or anything continuous but all I can say is try it and see the results for yourself.
      Its pretty powerful stuff......

What about consuming fruit during WBTB, rather before retiring to bed the previous evening?
What would be the typical digestion time be regarding eating fruit, etc?

I dont know, I do know that the results last quite awhile.. I did it last night and I still had good recall this morning.
Anyways, Heres a link to where it is, <http://www.samaelgnosis.us/practice/more_practices/raom_gaom.htm>
This ol guy has a lot of good stuff and a lot that dont concern lucid dreaming at all. (Far out meditation stuff) Look at the Raom_Gaom mantra there also, I couldnt do without it!

ps: Thinking of it the results are almost instantaneous, I sometimes use this combo and close my eyes and am sort of thrown into a vivid Lucid Dream with no need to recall, I have tried just fruit etc to no avail, Only this exact combo works and dont overdo it, A little goes a long way.

Hmm. I don't see why that would be the case...Maybe you had a deficiency with a certain vitamin that comes from citrus fruit? Maybe a chemical used in brain function? Who knows... :\

Oh- I dont know how it works either, I dont know how Mantras work, Sometimes I wonder that anything works.
The author of that site does what Monk's do i guess, He meditates all his life to figure this stuff out and tells us about it and we say we dont see how that can be true yet we eat "Twinkies" with no question as to why they still taste good after 45 years on the shelf
As I see it we already have most of the so called vitamin supplements in our fridge.
