      Dream Object

I havent really tried it but I think we can use an object to help us become lucid. This I think was a technique developed a few years ago and it was called FAT. Not sure what the abbriviation is but I'm saying it's not completely my idea.

So this object you can use could be a rock you keep in your pocket. Everytime you feel, see or whatever this rock, you have to question reality. This object has to be something more meaningfull not just a random rock. Maybe you could write on it or whatever to make it unique. It doesn't even have to be a rock for it could be many other things like a wedding band for example.

Then maybe you are likely to have a dream with this object and become lucid.

      What you guys think?

I'm gonna say it again, I'm not sure how much of this is the FAT technique so I'm not going to say it's all my idea.

...Just like reality checking when you see the mark on your hand/head, or other sign that's been done many times before.
It's a DILD, nothing new. Is there anything particularly special about this one?

It's in the archive for a reason, mainly because... it's not a legit technique yet. So really, if you want to do that, you should start a thread in the research forum or have a mod move this there so that you can see if it really works or not. Otherwise, the thread should just be locked or moved to research to be forgotten

However, if I remember correctly (I'll have to check the link) there was a technique called the FAT (Focus Attention Technique) to help you WILD. You basically hold the rock in your hand and focus intently on it as you're going to sleep. It helps keep your mind aware while you go to sleep. I do have personal experience with this, but not with a rock. I was using the subliminal lucid 3.0 ( the wrong way ) and focused on on the music, trying to hear what the guy was saying ( I know I wasn't supposed to ). I was focusing on it so intently that I started to go into SP for the first time, and got vibrations from head to toe.

EDIT: Yup, that's one of the listed uses.

Well you seem to get it. How did you find out about it?

Browsing the tutorials on the main page. I found one called FAT and read it. You'd be surprised what you can find there.

It's one of the illegitimate member-created techniques that, because it most likely doesn't work, and hasn't yet been researched and shown to actually do antyhing at all, been placed in the Archives of the tutorials. When you read archives you really want to keep in mind that these are just something someone made up out of the blue, and you should always keep in mind that "Dress-In-A-TuTu-and-Eat-Gummy-Worms-Induced-Lucid-Dream", the DIATAEGWILD, is probably just as relevant.
