Sleep paralysis is not a required preset to induce a WILD.
You can easily get into a WILD by attempting it before sleep, or after doing a WBTB (which is preferred more because your body will be relaxed after those few hours of sleep (4.5 hours or so)).
If you aren't experiencing hallucinations, but feel your whole body vibrating, just remember that there's nothing to worry about if that occurs. If you feel the vibrations are slowing down and you're experiencing a state of neutrality, you can perform checks such as:
- Imagining yourself rolling off your bed, but not actually physically doing it.
- Imagining that your arms are elastic, and reaching the corners of the ceiling and "pulling" yourself upwards.
- Imagining yourself walking around your room, not physically, just mentally.
If you practice and mix these checks up a bit (there's a lot more checks you can do) whenever you start becoming aware of the vibrations slowing down and having a level of neutrality, in theory, you can have a successful WILD.
Usually, when you feel the vibrations, and then they stop, you might feel that you failed the attempt, but occasionally, it's usually just a false awakening.
So if you find yourself waking up immediately after that, make sure to do a reality check, because you'll never know if you could've conquered a quick way to become lucid. Those pesky False Awakenings.
And WOOT, on my 4th page for my essay.
1-2 more pages, a little revision and spell check, and I am going to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
