It's not Teme, but Temae. That is why I was confused. You didn't even have to use Temae. You could have dropped Temae no altogether.

I figured as much about the romanization of "yuuki", the darn object tag slipped my mind, and no, I didn't know that "temae" was romanized that way. I saw it here romanized as "temee", but I guess either way it can't be just one "e" at the end.

Bottom line: (a) I was quickly trying to make a sentence out of our two names, and (B) as I'm not taking Japanese yet, and am obviously a lousy self-teacher, my knowledge of it is pretty poor.
